Highlights
Ice-class vessel for Greenlandic waters
Snowshoeing, hiking, and ski-mountaineering activities
The S/V Rembrandt van Rijn has had a lively past; originally built early last century as a herring lugger, she was rebuilt to sail the Netherlands and Galapagos in the 1990s. In 2011, she underwent a complete refurbishment and now offers exciting voyages to the Arctic from May to October each year. The bow of the 3-masted S/V Rembrandt van Rijn has been reinforced to make it ice-class and suitable for the Greenlandic waters. She caters to just 33 passengers in 16 cabins. Each cabin has private toilet and shower facilities, and twin or triple cabins are available. Meals are served buffet style in the spacious dining area. Social areas also include a separate bar and reading area. The sv Rembrandt van Rijn offers expansive deck space, perfect for taking in the stunning views or catching a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis and star gazing.
