The Junk is a historic liveaboard that offers a unique experience and combines the charm of a traditional wooden ship with modern comforts while taking divers on adventures around the Similan and Surin Islands. The Junk accommodates 18 divers in 6 fully air-conditioned cabins, each with en-suite bathrooms and hot showers. Choose from private, three-berth, or four-berth cabins to suit your preferences. The boat has a shaded dive deck, personal set-up areas, and the option for Nitrox diving.
This 33-meter authentic wooden sailing vessel has its claim to fame: It has been used in several films, including James Bond’s “The Man With The Golden Gun” and "Swiss Family Robinson."

Amazing dive experience with great service
This was a lifetime experience. I’ve been on liveaboard before but this is by far the best one. Not even is the boat super cool and with so much ambience and history but it was just first class service - from the dive/boat manager Brian who was super professionel and made sure safety was taken seriously - to the absolutely fabulous and helpfull crew. The food was amazing and we basically had food non stop between dives. Fab veggie options as well. The diving was also professionally handled with great local divemasters and every dive around 1 hour. Equipment in top. Hotel pick up service from wherever you are within 2 hours (I think) The cabins were pretty spacious and with curtains to get a bit of privacy. Okay and spacious bathroom with warm shower if you need that. Remember really good earplugs though. It’s very noisy when moving at night and the generator is also a bit of a nightmare.

Fabulous experience on The Junk in the Similan
Fabulous first liveaboard exprience with the Junk. Dives were not geat because we cannot reach Surin islands for our best dives because of the rough sea but all the crew and staff of the boat was absolutly wonderful and considerate to make this experience wonderful. The boat despite a bit noisy is very comfortable. Very good spirit during the cruise, and nice divers.

Top Service und Organisation
Tolle Menschen kennengelernt und ein super Team auf the Junk. Man schläft unter Deck was besonders in der ersten Nacht als wir durchgefahren sind sehr laut war (Wellen, Maschinengeräusche). Die Crew ist super freundlich und hat ihren Job toll gemacht. Die Organisation vor Ort war ebenfalls Spitzenklasse. Es war ein schönes Erlebnis, danke dafür!

Relaxing week to ring in the New Year. First time diving in Thailand. The guitar shark encounters topped the underwater experiences. Really great divers with similar values and interests.

Wonderful experience in the Similan islands
I can’t recommend enough this liveaboard: everything was greatly organized, crew extremely kind and professional, dive sites stunning and mouth watering Thai food also for vegetarian and vegans. The cruise director Brian did an excellent job in coordinating the adventure making sure we were having the best dives while ensuring the safety and fun for everyone.

Unforgettable trip!
We really wanted to dive in the Andaman sea, and based on photo’s there was clearly no better vessel to do this with than the Junk. I can gladly say that not only were the photos great, but the boat and the crew matched it. We pretty much had a perfect vacation. Mind blowing dives, expert instructors, restaurant worthy food, clean and comfortable rooms, fun co-divers and a 5 star crew. Brian, the trip lead, was very helpful and provided clear guidance as to what was expected in the water and on the boat. The Junk itself adds some adventure to the trip that will ensure you will never forget it.
