A magical time on the Monserrat
What an exceptional experience. I booked this as part of a solo trip, and I couldn’t be happier. To start, someone met me at the airport to ensure everything was arranged before I even boarded the plane. From start to finish, the crew were amazing, making me feel very at home and taken care of but never in an overbearing way. The crew is very good at their jobs, keeping everything running smoothly. Then the naturalists who guided our daily hikes and snorkels - WOW. They were so knowledgeable and had an answer to practically every question about the flora, the fauna, the history of the islands, the landscape. Big shoutout to Yaz who not only shared his clear love for this place but also was remarkable at taking pictures and videos for the group. The food was good (get ready to eat a lot!) and the accommodations felt fairly comfortable. I feel the value for this trip is great - I can’t believe how much we fit into 5 days. If you want to experience the Galapagos, I think this is a wonderful way to do so.

Amazing experience, highly recommend it!
The crew and guides (particularly Pablo) were absolutely fantastic and made a huge effort to make everyone comfortable and involved. We spotted so much wildlife both on land and in the water and managed to tick everything off the list. The smaller group made it easy to socialise, which was a plus. Cabins were very comfortable with AC and ensuite. Water pressure was good too. Rooms were made up multiple times a day and towels refreshed upon request. The free wifi onboard was excellent both in terms of coverage and speed. Finally the food was delicious and varied and although portions were adequate, they were on the smaller side. Overall would highly recommend the Monserrat for a brilliant experience from start to finish.

On board naturalists were the best!
Really enjoyed time with Monserrat. Crew was fantastic and we appreciated the low (1:8) naturalist to guest ratio. It made a huge difference that the guides were available and engaged with every hike, kayak or snorkeling outing. We had 3-4 activities every day and they were very efficient helping everyone on/off the dinghy and knowing what to expect, what to wear for the days activities. From breakfast until 6 p sunset we were busy! And it was great. Safety and comfort was important to the crew. Monserrat does not feature private balconies or extra large cabins which turned out to be a huge plus. We spent our free time in the communal areas and really got to know and have fun with fellow passengers. Sharing photos, exchanging travel stories. Packing recommendations: shoes for lava rock walking, flip flops or beach shoes, shoes to wear on boat (crocs were popular). Good hat, lightweight long sleeves for sun protection. Very chill atmosphere. We took the C+D 7 day tour and were very satisfied. Highly recommend the Monserrat.

Wonderful Cruise
We loved the whole experience. Visiting the different islands and learning about the history makes you appreciate what you are seeing. The wildlife is amazing, of course. Being so close to the animals is an experience like no other. If you are going to visit the Galapagos Islands, the best way, by far, is traveling on a small ship like the Monserrat.

A truly remarkable journey in a truly remarkable place!
We had an amazing experience which far exceeded our expectations. The variety of birdlife, fish and other wildlife was truly remarkable. As well as being friendly, courteous and caring, our guides were extremely knowledgeable and able to deliver and share their knowledge in a concise simple to understand manner. All the crew were friendly and extremely accommodating. Highlights for us were 1) swimming with a penguin 2) seeing the albatross up close 3) all the birdlife on North Seymour Island. On the negative side: we felt that most of the passenger changover day was unproductive time for us as we had to wait in town and/or on the boat for 3 to 4 hours for the new passenges to board. Instead we would have been happier if we had spent the time on a beach swimming, snorkelling and relaxing. Also the vegetarian food lacked some variety. In summary, our overall experience was amazing and we highly recommend the Monserrat 7d/8n cruise. Lianne & Mike Solomons Oct 2025
