Amazing dives, awesome experience
I was on a few liveaboards already, but this one was the best. I can highly recommend it. The crew was super friendly, everyone always smiled and helped whenever needed. The diving was well organized and overall amazing. Our dive guide Cristina was super nice, very experienced and took good care of everyone in the group while still giving us room while diving. She was really excellent. Also, it was great hanging out with the people on the boat in between the dives, no matter if it were other guests or people from the crew.

Highly recommend this boat!
The wildlife speaks for itself but the fantastic crew made this trip extra special! The boat is clean, the food is amazing and the guides are highly professional. I'd highly recommend this boat for a trip to the Socorro Islands, there really was no complaints!

Incredible diving and crew!
It went very well! They made a birthday cake for me, which was a very nice touch. Bringing your own fins is vital as the ones they offer are not sufficient for the current at a couple sites, but the sites are worth it! Also, nitrox should be more highly recommended as a lot of the sites are deeper!

Outstanding Marine Life, but Safety Depends Heavily on Guide and Grouping
Socorro delivered exceptional marine life: large schools of hammerheads, tiger sharks, whale shark, mantas, and multiple close dolphin encounters. The crew was cheerful, hard-working, and genuinely caring, and the vessel was kept clean with a positive onboard atmosphere. However, I had significant concerns regarding dive management and safety margins during part of the trip. Many dives involved extended bottom time at depth, prolonged swimming against strong current at depth, and minimal reserve margins. Many divers reached 0–2 minutes NDL or entered decompression, and multiple divers consistently ran very low on air or out of air. Some very advanced, adventurous divers were allowed a high degree of freedom, which increased risk for the rest of the group in a remote environment where help is far away. These divers were mixed with very inexperienced divers in the same group, creating elevated risk not only for them, but also for mid-level divers like myself, who received insufficient monitoring in a high-risk environment. There were a few close calls which I won’t go into details about. In some cases, air was shared to extend dives, when the safer decision would have been to end the dive and begin ascent. After switching to Cristina’s group, the difference was immediately apparent. Dives were tightly managed and cohesive, air was checked frequently, ascents were conducted together, and divers surfaced with adequate reserves and double-digit NDLs. Dive plans also required less continuous finning, resulting in safer and more enjoyable dives. Cristina is an excellent guide — attentive, safety-focused, cheerful, and genuinely caring both underwater and topside. Accommodation was functional and comfortable with adequate storage, and I slept well. Shared bathrooms were well maintained and never problematic. Food was acceptable and thoughtfully prepared, though mid-level compared to another liveaboard I was on in this area. I would also like to note that management responded compassionately and took my concerns very seriously, conducted internal reviews, and reassigned my dive group during the trip, which I appreciated. Recommendation I would not return unless dive management is consistently more conservative with stronger safety margins, or unless there is better guide-to-guest ratio, improved skill matching within groups, or the option for private guides. For prospective guests: without knowing what safety improvements will be made in their dive operation yet, I would recommend this trip if you are DM-level or fully comfortable diving solo in strong current with minimal supervision. Otherwise, there are potential safety concerns if you are matched with an incompatible guide or group mix.

My goal was to experience “pelagic magic” and this trip ticked all of the boxes.
This was my first Socorro trip and it did not disappoint. Roca Partida was truly amazing! We saw loads of curious mantas and even saw a whale shark. The other sites blessed us with hammerheads and dolphins. Overall, just a mind blowing trip.

Incredible diving
The dives on this trip were absolutely incredible, with very frequent extended encounters with huge oceanic mantas, curious hammerheads and playful dolphins. On two different dives at El Canyon we had moments with hammerheads below us, dolphins swimming through our group and massive mantas above us, all at the same time. Incredible. The atmosphere on the boat was very fun. Kike and Cristina were excellent hosts, and the whole crew were friendly and really eager to serve and help guests. I was impressed by how much work the dive guides had to manage in particular, running exhausting dives but also having to do all the technical work with the gear and refilling air. Cristina was my guide and I was amazed by her endless friendliness, positivity, knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for nature. The location seems to attract fun people, as all the guests on our boat were lovely, too. The small rooms and shared bathroom are functional for an adventure rather than luxurious. If you're a light sleeper, some rooms are a touch noisy as there is not much separation from the working areas that staff have to start using very early, but you're so worn out you tend to crash out anyway. A previous review made some suggestions about splitting up group preparation on the boat and avoiding the high pressure air hoses, and it was great to see these exact recommendations have been implemented already. Dive preparation felt calm and safe. As other reviews have pointed out, these are tough dives with currents, occasional low visibility, and large guest-to-guide ratios. Confusion and different understandings in our group about surfacing procedures and what we would all do when one person was low on air emerged on a couple of dives - I would recommend future guests do not presume protocol and make sure with all your group and guide that everyone has the exact same understanding. On one long dive my air cut on the safety stop while still reading as having 30 bar remaining - the reading still on my gauge even on the surface after the dive, as I was able to show others. I was glad the guides told me that the gauge would be taken out of circulation, and I hope there will be a check of all the gauges. I think these things are really important for safety, but they should be relatively easy to fix, and the boat has a good record of implementing feedback. Overall the experience and wildlife were fantastic. This would be an excellent trip for someone looking for a challenging adventure, particularly if you have experience already of diving in high current locations like Galapagos or the Maldives.

Very fond memories
Due to the small number of people, we were treated like VIPs, with each guest having their own separate cabin. The dive site was amazing and we saw almost all the big animals, except for the whale shark (not in season).Every member of the crew was very kind and enjoyed the trip.

- Even though the number of guests was small, Adventure set sail and gave us VIP treatment. We saw almost all the animals, the itinerary was very reasonable, and the dive sites were great. The crew were very friendly and very helpful.

Under Water Huiii - Above Water Break
Unfortunately, the food was bad - it is probably not easy to get cooks and a sconto due to the nausea-causing kitchen was not conceded - annoying. But everything else is great.
