Nusantara liveaboard is a 20 m-long (65-feet-long) traditional Indonesian vessel offering divers and guests a unique experience to Komodo while keeping things simple and easy. Taking up to 12 passengers, Nusantara accommodates guests in a dorm cabin sleeping 8 with all beds having privacy curtains, fans, and power sockets available. A further 4 mattresses allow guests to sleep on deck under the stars, enjoying cool night breezes. There are also 2 shared bathrooms onboard. Nusantara has a spacious dive deck area to gear up and enter the water for diving. On the top deck is a large sun deck with bean bags, perfect for relaxing between dives or simply enjoying the surroundings.

Offering different trips between 2-4 nights throughout Komodo, Nusantara offers simple, quick, and easy dive trips to get divers to famous dive spots in Komodo, where they can get between 9-15 dives per trip. Visiting well-known dive sites such as Manta Point, Batu Bolong, or muck diving at Wainilu.

Great experience with the 3D/2N cruise on the Nusanatara. The proposed diving sites have been all excellent. We received excellent diving briefs before every dive, the guides were careful and supportive, the ship is comfortable and in good condition, the crew excellent as well. Overall, the experience is absolutely recommended and well worth the money.

Best value liveaboard experience
I did the 3D2N Komodo liveaboard, and loved every minute. The boat is comfortable and has good common areas to relax. I slept on the upper deck, which had a nice breeze and beautiful view of the stars. It felt like camping at sea. The dive guides were very professional and accommodated beginner and experienced divers. Very good dive briefings, safety first. They were also conscious of avoiding crowds, both for the Komodo dragon trek and for the dives, which made everything a better experience. Thank you to the whole Mikumba team!

They took great care of us.
Overall it has been a great experience for my first liveaboard trip. Komodo national offers great dives at a fantastic temperature. The diver-guide ratio was max 3 to 1 and they distributed well the skill levels between the groups.

An amazing experience
Value for money wise this can’t be beaten. The dive guides are extremely friendly & professional and are always putting the customers first. The diving itself is truly world class in Komodo National park and you will get to do all of the famous sites such as Shotgun, Batu Balong, Crystal Rock etc. The boat is relatively small, but well maintained and comfortable. The sleeping areas are fairly basic but perfectly fine for a short 3 day trip. The food is amazing and there’s plenty of it. I would highly recommend this trip to anybody

Amazing trip!
I had an amazing trip on Nusantara! We saw a lot of beautiful dive sites and the crew on board were so kind and helpful. The ratio between diving and free time was perfect. You had time to relax between the dives, but you didn’t get bored. I slept on the top deck and I would 100% recommend that. It wasn’t too hot and there were so much space. It was 4 unforgettable days! I will definitely be diving with Mikumba diving again. Great company!

Amazing Liveaboard Experience with Mikumba Diving!
I recently joined a liveaboard trip with Mikumba Diving, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The boat crew were friendly, professional, and attentive to every detail. They made sure we were comfortable, safe, and well taken care of throughout the trip. The dive guides were outstanding! They are knowledgeable, patient, and deeply passionate about the marine life. Each dive was well-briefed and thoughtfully planned, allowing us to enjoy the underwater world to the fullest. We saw incredible biodiversity and always felt in good hands. A special shout-out to the cook for the amazing meals, which were a highlight of the trip in itself. Overall, Mikumba Diving exceeded all expectations. An overall great experience, especially for the relatively low price. The combination of diving and two shore excursions – Komodo dragons and sunset hike – was successful. The manta rays at several dive sites were unforgettable, and the dive guides did a great job, paying attention to safety and detailed briefings. Food top! The only minus point: In the dorm on the lower deck it was often warm and stuffy despite fans. Nevertheless, absolutely recommended!

Unbelievable diving experience
I spent 4 days and 3 nights on board the Nusantara with Mikumbu Diving and the whole experience was perfect from start to finish. The boat and crew were all excellent, and my dive guide Hans, was brilliant. All the dives were really well briefed, I loved the little dive site drawings on the white board, and felt safe on all the dives. The land based trips for the Komodo dragons and a sunset walk were also really great additions. The food was class, really above my expectations of what was possible to prepare on a little boat, and various dietary requirements for people on board were all catered for well. The sleeping cabin is on the cosy side, but after a day of diving its perfectly possible to sleep well, there are portholes to let fresh, cooler air in. There's a nice spot on top with bean bags to chill out on, or an area below for some shade. The equipment was all pretty new and in very good condition. And the dive sites are world class!

Unforgettable Honeymoon Trip – Expert Crew & Incredible Diving We spent 4 days and 3 nights on the Nusantara with Mikumba Diving, and it was easily a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being here for our honeymoon made it special, but the Nusantara staff made it world-class. The Highlights: • The Crew: Truly exceptional. They handle everything—from assembling your gear to helping you with your fins before you jump. You barely have to lift a finger. • The Diving: Our dive masters were experts at navigating the conditions. We had about a 60/40 split of heavy current vs. non-current dives. • Conditions: In early April, visibility ranged from 25m down to 10–15m. The team was great at explaining how the sites and visibility shift (Central vs. North) depending on the season. • Life on Board: The food was awesome with a huge variety. Between dives, the upstairs beanbag area is the ultimate place to relax. • The Bunks: Sleeping quarters can get warm, but there are fans in every bunk and portholes in the top bunks for airflow. We will remember this trip forever—not just because of the beautiful locations, but because of the incredible Nusantara team. If you’re heading to Komodo, this is the way to do it!

unforgettable 3 days with a great crew, delicious food and fantastic animal encounters
we did the 3D/2N trip and it was so amazing from beginning to the end!!! the crew and all the guides were very nice, they helped you everytime you needed it and tried to make the best trip for everyone on the boat. they also cared to put the diving groups as good as possible together so that the ones with better air consumption could stay longer underwater:)) the food was very delicious and they also offer very good vegetarian options:) the breefings were really good with informative facts about the diving places and the currents and they really cared about everyones safety and fun! we were so lucky we saw mantas on two dives, many sharks, nice schools of fish of all kind and even dolphins on our last dive!🥳 the visit on rinca island was so amazing too, we went there early morning right when the park opened and when the komodo dragons were the most active. we were lucky there too and saw three dragons eating the meat off a buffalos skull! would definetly recommend this trip and hope to dive sometime again in the waters of the komodo national park🦈🐬🦎

Excellent affordable liveaboard in Komodo
Would absolutely recommend diving from the Nusantara, I had a great Komodo tour with them. The staff is excellent, taking absolutely everything out of your hands and letting you focus just on the diving. The dive guides were really passionate and showed us a lot of great marine life. They also take good care of safety, i.e. by checking in regularly on me after I had some equalizing problems on one dive. The boat staff kept the boat in impeccably clean condition and made us great food. The liveaboard is quite affordable, because the facilities are not super luxurious: it is basically a floating hostel for divers. If you are looking for more luxury another boat might be better. But for me, I was more than happy with the value for money! The one thing they could improve is a bit more transparency in the pricing upfront. The park fee is quite steep (and it was not communicated clearly that the price of 300k was per day, and not per trip) and there was a fuel surcharge after booking. I would have preferred everything to be included in the price upfront.
