Built with divers in mind, the MY Golden Dolphin offers year-round dive safaris in the Egyptian Red Sea. She caters to up to 20 divers in 10 en-suite cabins. Each cabin has air-conditioning, storage space, and a mini-bar. Eight cabins are on the lower deck with twin beds, and the 2 cabins on the upper deck have queen-sized beds. For relaxation, guests can choose 2 sun decks with comfortable loungers - one shaded with an outdoor lounge area and one open on the rooftop for sun-lovers, or the spacious indoor lounge with AC, TV, DVD, and sound system and dining room.

Diving from the M/Y Golden Dolphin takes place from the large dive deck and platform at the rear of the boat, with individual storage boxes and a kitting-up area, rinse tanks, and a camera set-up station. Nitrox is available for those certified. Itineraries explore the best of the Red Sea, from the Northern Wrecks and Straits of Tiran down to the Deep South of St. Johns and everything in between.

Just exquisite!
The whole trip just came so nicely together, the route, the people, and the wildlife. I never dived with big sharks before, and was a bit anxious about this, but when first one, and on next dive two curious Longimanos appeared, the guide was right next to me, keeping an eye on everything, so I could enjoy watching these large creatures. Thanks for many (17) great dives!

We saw the whole thing: Whaleshark, Hummerheads, Oceanic White Tip, Silky and Treasure!!! The crew was friendly and the food was very good. The boat looks is a bit older than the photos, but still in good shape.

Amazing service from the entire crew.
I could not ask for any better service from everyone in the staff. The guys who help you get ready, the ones driving the zodiacs, and those who cleaned the cabins and public spaces were all very personable and super helpful. Our dive guide was amazing. Red Sea Magic: Corals, Endemic Species, and Historic Wrecks
Had a lovely dive safari in the Red Sea, particularly around Dahab. The underwater scenery was stunning, classic dive sites like Blue Hole, Canyon, SD Thistlegorm packed with healthy corals and unique endemic marine life. Even without many big pelagics, the variety of wrecks and reefs kept every dive exciting. For the price point, the comfort and service aboard the Golden Dolphin were great. The vessel felt like a great home away from home, and the attentive crew made sure we were well looked after from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Book with Golden Dolphin! The safest and most fun way to see almost everything in the Red Sea!
I don't even know where to begin. From the beginning to the end I had enjoyable moments with the people on the boat and the crew. They were kind and helpful and fun. Their penchant for safety was clear and so were the dive briefings. I loved having nitrox and wifi when available. We saw so much life under the water! It was warm and visibility was fantastic! We saw hammerheads, octopus, manta rays, eagle rays, so many moray eels, hawkfish, puffers, baby clownfish!, red anemones, nudibranchs and so much more. It was some of the best diving I've ever experienced. They even let us jump in the water after our dive to swim with dolphins!! How cool is that? So wonderful. The cabin was clean and comfortable with A/C, which was so nice. The food was also absolutely scrumptious, props to the chef and his assistant. The captain also worked hard bringing us from place to place in such a timely manner. Highly, highly recommend going with Golden Dolphin and I loved being on Golden Dolphin 1 as it is a bit smaller, but that's a personal preference.

Very helpful and cheerful crew, comprehensive briefings, good planning of the dive spots, very good food. Experience of the entire crew was well noticeable. Unfortunately, our ship was not available as planned, but Golden Dolphin reorganized everything so that our safari was able to provide the same range of services.

Amazing Trip!
Our experience on the Golden Dolphin was outstanding, from start to finish. The organisation of the team is excellent which made the transfer from the airport efficient and easy, the staff were really friendly and happy to help out with anything you need. The food was first class! Three large meals a day with different choices of food, fish, meat, salad and veg. The team also provided snacks and fresh fruit in-between meals so you will not go hungry on this boat. The dive guides were very helpful in and out of the water and good fun too. They chose a really good route which maxed out the best diving each day. On the boat the cabins, lounge and sun decks were kept clean and tidy. This is a fantastic boat with a team that really cares so would recommend to anyone looking to dive the red sea - we will be back.

Dive - Eat - Sleep - Repeat
Most of participants were german people who testify in general a nice mood. We have followed first week BDE route and second week mainly straight of North Tiran. Dahad was particulary a diving area marvelous for which I’ve dove for the first time. Dive masters were very helpful by giving us some exhaustive briefings. To sum up, it was a fantastic diving cruise into Red Sea.

Nice trip
Definitely famous Thistlegorm (sad to see it is slowly degrading over the years), but also other nice and accessible wrecks during North Trip. It's maybe a bit chilly this time of year, especially when undressing after dive, but tranquility was worth it.

Upgraded to bigger & even nicer boat. No crowds this time of year (just 8 divers on 28 diver boat), just 2-3 diveboats at Thistlegorm & generally we were the only boat on most of the locations.

It was an excellent dive trip everything was OK
Although we could see only few sharks it was due to the water temperature (27-28 degrees santigrade) thus sharks were below 50 meters. We have seen many kind of fishes. Next time I will try to arrange to come at late September-October or alternatively, late March-April.

It is a boat with 20guests capacity. Not too many people which was nice. Crew and service were excellent. Very, very great
