The Ocean Lovers is a 45-meter/148-foot-long liveaboard with 5 decks taking 32 guests on dive safaris in the Red Sea. There are 10 double cabins and 6 suites with views, all air-conditioned and equipped with private showers and toilets. The saloon and dining area on the main deck is perfect for relaxing. Entertainment options include a 65-inch LCD TV, a DVD player, and a sound system. In addition, the Ocean Lovers offers free Wi-Fi throughout the ship as long as a mobile signal is available. The Ocean Lover's 2 sun decks are spacious, with sun loungers, lazy bags, hammock swing chairs, and a hammock swing. Ideal for relaxing between dives, reading a book, or enjoying the sunset. Part of the sun deck is shaded, so guests always have a choice of whether they prefer the sun or protection from the heat.
The Ocean Lovers offers the chance to explore the famous Red Sea wrecks and reefs, including the Tiran diving area, composed of four main reefs that form an underwater bridge near the Gulf of Aqaba. Named after British cartographers (Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas, and Gordon), these reefs are famous for their coral life and large pelagic fish. Expect a combination of wreck and reef diving, with the Northern Red Sea boasting impressive wrecks like the SS Thistlegorm. Other sites include Abu Nuhas, the "Ships Graveyard," and the Brothers Islands, with their thriving marine life and colorful corals. Anticipate encounters with reef sharks, eagle rays, oceanic white tip sharks, Napoleon fish, thresher sharks, hammerhead sharks, grey reef sharks, and more.

Everything about this liveaboard trip was absolutely fantastic. From the delicious food, to the excellent organization, spotless cleanliness, and the incredible care and professionalism of the dive guides during every dive — everything was top-notch. I had an amazing time on board Ocean Lovers! The crew and service were spectacular, truly went above and beyond. The diving itself was also phenomenal, of course. I'm already planning on coming back for Ocean Lovers' southern route! Highly recommend, including for other prospective solo female travelers :)

Overall, this trip was an excellent experience – a combination of a professional crew, a comfortable boat and varied dive sites made this liveaboard truly memorable. The diving was really great: lots of time in the water, good visibility, beautiful reefs and rich marine life – exactly what you hope for on a trip like this.

Great time on and in the water!!
You feel very comfortable on the ship right from the start. The crew does a great job and is always eager to help and support you.The dive guides really try everything to satisfy the divers. Great attention is paid to safety, so that you always feel safe and in good hands.The only thing that could be improved is the Wifi reception on the boat, even in the harbor it was a bit weak.Otherwise, there was no reason for complaints and it was just a wonderful week of diving, eating and enjoying the sun!

Great Boat, Food, Crew and Diving. Thoroughly recommend
The boat itself is really high class and is well maintained, bein constantly cleaned throughout the trip I had one of the lower deck cabins, chosen primarily in case of rough seas during the voyage to the Brother Islands, although as it was the conditions were calm. The only issue I had being in cabin 1 was that it's located next to stairs and the engine room, and was noisy just on the first night whilst berthed, which was mostly due to the crew making preparations and having some down time. But this was only one night. Room was spacious, including the bathroom, and the aircon worked well and was pretty quiet. Lighting and style made for a relaxing place to sleep. The food was simply outstanding, with such a variety at each meal, and accommodates most tastes. More than enough food during the trip, and the eating section is well laid out. You really miss it when you get off the boat! My dive guide was Simone who was such a great laugh, friendly and exuberant, but at the same time really focused on safety, making sure everyone who was diving attended the briefing, which were very clear, and always covered alternative plans should the current conditions change. The itinerary was good and included the major wrecks in the north. I was surprised that we only had three night dives through the trip, but given that diving is more controlled in the Brothers now can see that it may be difficult to include more. Having been on quite a few liveaboards I can thoroughly recommend this boat.

Thank you for everything !
Thanks to the help of Simon & Martina (big shoutout !) I got the opportunity to complete and finish my advanced open water. I was also able to complete my Nitrox course all of that in one week ! Not to mention the dives that were pretty amazing and a great way to get better at diving ! This trip left me with wanting more and I can’t wait to go back again in Egypt or elsewhere !
