The Ocean Lovers is a 45-meter/148-foot-long liveaboard with 5 decks taking 32 guests on dive safaris in the Red Sea. There are 10 double cabins and 6 suites with views, all air-conditioned and equipped with private showers and toilets. The saloon and dining area on the main deck is perfect for relaxing. Entertainment options include a 65-inch LCD TV, a DVD player, and a sound system. In addition, the Ocean Lovers offers free Wi-Fi throughout the ship as long as a mobile signal is available. The Ocean Lover's 2 sun decks are spacious, with sun loungers, lazy bags, hammock swing chairs, and a hammock swing. Ideal for relaxing between dives, reading a book, or enjoying the sunset. Part of the sun deck is shaded, so guests always have a choice of whether they prefer the sun or protection from the heat.

The Ocean Lovers offers the chance to explore the famous Red Sea wrecks and reefs, including the Tiran diving area, composed of four main reefs that form an underwater bridge near the Gulf of Aqaba. Named after British cartographers (Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas, and Gordon), these reefs are famous for their coral life and large pelagic fish. Expect a combination of wreck and reef diving, with the Northern Red Sea boasting impressive wrecks like the SS Thistlegorm. Other sites include Abu Nuhas, the "Ships Graveyard," and the Brothers Islands, with their thriving marine life and colorful corals. Anticipate encounters with reef sharks, eagle rays, oceanic white tip sharks, Napoleon fish, thresher sharks, hammerhead sharks, grey reef sharks, and more.

My first liveaboard and it set the bar very high
My first liveaboard experience with Ocean Lovers was genuinely top notch. The diving itself was outstanding - beautiful, well-chosen sites with incredible marine life. Elphinstone was the highlight for me, despite the questionable weather conditions! What really elevated the trip was the crew. They were consistently attentive and proactive, always helping with gearing up, filling tanks quickly, and handling any ad hoc requests without hesitation. That level of service makes a huge difference when you’re doing multiple dives a day. Other than that, the crew kept the liveaboard consistently clean and cozy. The food was delicious. I was worried that as a vegan I wouldn't have anything to eat or I would be eating the same thing every day, but I was well taken care of and had plenty of variety throughout the trip. The dive guides clearly knew the sites well and ran things professionally. If I had one piece of feedback, it would be to spend a bit more time during briefings on marine life - what to look for and how to spot the more elusive species. I also appreciated how well-equipped the boat was. I came onboard with a cold and had some trouble equalizing, but the guides helped me out with medication, and I was able to get back in the water quickly. Overall, an amazing trip with fantastic diving, a great crew, and a very smooth operation. I’d absolutely recommend Ocean Lovers to anyone considering their first (or next) liveaboard.

Amazing Liveaboard
We had a fantastic holiday on this Liveaboard. The crew was great, very helpful. They even helped with our wetsuits. The guides were also fun and really knew where to find the beautiful places. Furthermore, I also felt very safe. The level was taken into account when dividing the diving groups. The briefings were very accurate and fun. Furthermore, the food was delicious and the boat was kept very clean. I really have nothing to complain about this fantastic diving holiday.

Incredible boat and crew, though the reefs were a bit quiet
I recently finished a liveaboard trip on the Ocean Lovers, and honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. While the experience on the boat itself was top-notch, the underwater part left much to be desired. The Good Stuff (The Boat & Life Onboard) The Boat: Honestly, the boat is fantastic. It’s well-maintained, spacious, and very comfortable for a week at sea. The Cabin: My cabin was great—clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. No complaints at all. The Food: This was the highlight! The food was absolutely incredible. Every meal was delicious, and the variety was impressive. The Crew & Vibe: The people on board were very nice and professional. The overall atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Safety: I felt very safe throughout the trip. The safety protocols were solid and well-handled. The Diving (A Bit Mellow This Time) The diving was a bit of a mixed experience. While it was enjoyable, it didn't quite reach the "spectacular" level I was anticipating. The Reefs: The coral was okay, but not as vibrant or lush as I had imagined. There were some beautiful spots, but also quite a few areas that looked a bit tired or damaged. Marine Life: We didn't see much in the way of "big" action. I only spotted about 2 or 3 sharks during the entire trip, and they were quite far off in the blue. Seasonality: To be fair, it might have just been the season. Marine life patterns and visibility can change so much depending on the time of year, so perhaps we just missed the peak window for the big schools and the most vibrant colors. Summary: The boat, the food, and the crew are a 10/10—you really can't find a better team. As for the diving, it was a relaxing experience, even if the underwater scenery was a bit more understated this time around.

The Liveaboard That Spoiled Me Forever
This was probably my favorite dive trip so far. The whole experience was amazing. Every crew member was incredibly attentive — the service honestly felt like being on a moving five-star hotel. Accommodation: I stayed on the lower deck, and what really surprised me was that they cleaned the room after every dive. Every time I went back to my cabin, it felt like a little surprise. On my last Maldives liveaboard, they only cleaned once a day, so this felt really luxurious. After every dive, I’d come back to a freshly made bed and a clean bathroom, which was such a nice feeling. The crew even folded the bath towels into wave shapes, which was really cute. Food: One day the weather was beautiful, so the crew moved the dining area onto the deck, and it felt like a luxury yacht party. They also prepared cakes for anyone celebrating a birthday, which was very thoughtful and made it feel really special. Diving: The northern Red Sea offers an incredible mix of history and marine life. All the dive guides were fantastic — Ahmed, Sammy, Simone, Shawe — it was just a perfect dive trip. The crew helped prepare your gear and helped you put everything on. I get cold easily and the water wasn’t very warm, but after every dive, the crew would hand us juice and hot tea. Those small details really made the whole trip special.

Fantastic liveaboard with excellent service and excellent food
The 7 days were an unforgettable event all around! Starting with the high level of comfort, the outstandingly friendly staff, the absolutely high quality food, the excellent dive guides and the breathtaking underwater world, this week was an absolute dream! Our group consisted of 6 people (4 motivated divers + 2 non-divers) and everyone got their money's worth during the week. Dive Instructor Sarah was very patient & enthusiastically guided our group every day - a clear recommendation on our part!!:) Colorful coral gardens, historic wrecks, beautiful sunrises as well as the Oceanic White-Tip Shark with countless fish species accompanied our trip. Note on billing: If you want to pay by card, the invoice amount will be increased by 2% and it will be billed in the local currency. Therefore, in our case, it would have been cheaper to have enough cash in euros with us.

Our scuba trip aboard Ocean Lovers was a fantastic experience we will remember fondly for the rest of our lives! The crew were super attentive. Our guide Shawky was fantastic, as were all the guides. The briefings were excellent. The condition of the boat and equipment and procedures made us feel very safe and comfortable. And the food was over the top excellent! More like what I would expect on a luxury cruise than a scuba boat. If you happen to choose Ocean Lovers you will almost definitely choose them again!

The trip was an absolute highlight from start to finish. The boat is very tastefully decorated, the rooms are nice and spacious and the boat was incredibly clean. Every single member of staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. The food was a real treat at every meal. The guides seemed very experienced, the briefings were very structured and diving was a pleasure. But I think that 12 divers is an imposition for a guide, no matter how good he is.
