Fantastic trip, couldn't fault in any way
Exploring remote islands in Indonesia and mostly on our own, a good variety of dive sites, every meal was a culinary delight, quantity of people perfect for size of boat 10 guests and 9 staff, lovely wooden boat full of character and very comfortable.

If you like the little critters this is the boat for you@
We loved this livaboard we saw many new macro species such as, frog fish, nudibranci, ghost pipefish, cuttlefish fish, seahorses, pigmy seahorses, crabs, bubble shrimps and many other things. The crew and guides were fantastic. Just looked at there other trips for next trip!

Halmahera - Macro Paradise for Photographers!
Fantastic trip. Lots of macro critters to photograph. Our dive guide found so many pygmy seahorses I lost count. Seas were rough but captain and crew did a great job to manage the situation. Highly recommend this boat and crew!

Wonderful trip
Wonderful reefs and countless fish. We sailed and dived practically alone for 12 days in these seas.I want to emphasize that 5 months ago I ruptured my Achilles tendon diving in Cozumel, but despite this and thanks to the help of the KLM SUNSHINE crew I was able to dive comfortably these 12 days.

Good diving and Guides
I enjoyed my time on Sunshine and I found the dive guides to be good although we ended up spending more time in Lembeh Strait than we anticipated because the weather to the south pushed us back into the calm waters of the strait. The crew on board were good--as was the food. The only issue I had was that I was assigned to a bed that was far too small (okay if you are under 5' tall maybe), but I chose to sleep on deck some nights and was allowed to sleep in other's bed when they slept on deck. If you are a solo traveler and book the lower cabins you might want to check and make sure you have not been assigned the the "emergency" bed. Other than that I would happily recommend the Sunshine.

Great liveaboard with intact marine life. Demolition during transport to/from boat.
Sangihe Islands was planned. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, the route could not be driven as planned. However, the alternative route towards Gorantalo and back was still very nice. Mostly intact underwater world. Partly macro, but also beautiful corals and big fish. The crew is well-rehearsed, very helpful and always in a good mood. The food was excellent and always plentiful. Unfortunately, the positive impression is clouded by the unjustified high transport costs. When booking, it was not clear where exactly the tour would start. So 100 euros were charged for 2x transport. The transport to the ship (from my location at the time) was then too far for the company, so the accommodation organized the transport (costs 32 euros). During the transport after check-out, it was then said that it only went to the airport. In the end, I got the 50 euros (outward transport) back, paid another almost 6 euros for the additional route to the city. So transport for 56 euros. For the same route I was charged 30 euros by the resort on Lembeh 3 weeks before. It's not a lot of money, actually peanuts, but it clouds confidence badly.
