The Emperor Virgo liveaboard offers year-round diving in the Maldives. Catering to just 18 divers, there is ample space for all guests on board to relax and unwind during their stay. Cabins are spread over 3 decks and have double or twin beds, private en-suite bathrooms, and individually controlled AC. Upper-deck cabins also have large picture windows and amazing sea views.

The main deck of the Emperor Virgo is home to the large indoor salon with an entertainment area and dining room. The upper deck has an outdoor terrace, bar, and an al-fresco dining area to enjoy the delicious cuisine and gorgeous scenery. Meals combine international and local dishes; a free glass of wine is included with dinner. The sun deck has comfortable loungers and offers a relaxing space to unwind between dives.

All dives from the Emperor Virgo yacht take place from the accompanying dhoni, which gives plenty of room for kitting up and gear storage and makes getting to and from the dive sites easy. Great off-peak season diving
Great diving and a well run ship. crew was highly attentive. Even though it was off season and had a small passenger load, the crew maintained a high level of focus and service. Food was consistently good and the rooms were well maintained (and quite spacious on the top deck).

Great Dives and amazing Food
The Crew and the Guides are very friendly and attentive. They care about you like about their friends and try everything to make the trip to your best week. The dives sites are well chosen and eventhough we had not the best visibility, we saw whaleshark, plenty of Mantas, different sharks and turtles, cuddle fishes and many many fishes :-) And the food is amazing! For the vegan, diabetics individual meals have been provided. Awesome week!

Shark- and Manta-Tastic Week
Had a great week diving with Russ, Jacky and Issey- definitely lived up to the 'Sharkatstic' itinerary...with two great manta dives to boot. Alimatha Jetty and Rangali Madivaru are now in my Top 10 list. The cabin was comfortable, the boat was great, and Chandana and the staff kept us all well fed. Also had a great group of folks to dive with. Would gladly do it again.

Great dive trip!
Such an amazing week! We had a great time with some fantastic diving and a wonderful crew! The boat was super clean and comfortable, and all of the crew went out of their way to make the trip special and enjoyable for everyone! Amazing diving, amazing boat & crew
Everything was top notch. I love the Maldives. We saw 6 species of sharks in one week and countless Mantas. Whale shark and hammerheads were to of my favorite along with the night dives with Mantas and Nurse Sharks. The diving guides are outstanding, thank you Andrea Reeko and Megan. Crew is great and the boat as well with great food the whole week.

Amazing Diving with safety and care
The highlights of the trip were simply - we got lucky and our dive group was able to come across a whale shark without the hordes of other snorkelers and divers out there. We saw sharks on every dive and dozens / hundreds on some dives. On the manta night dive, mantas hit us! It was all just so amazing. The crew was very kind. The diving was suprisingly difficult given the currents and we had to abandon 2 dive sites due to unwieldy/washer machine currents which is better than risking low air to continue. All in all it was an unforgettable and incredibly experience.

Amazing trip!
We were lucky enough to see 17 Eagle rays swimming in formation, lots of sharks, turtles and rays as well as beatiful corals and so much fish life. The night dive with the Mantas was thrilling - as was the twilight dive with the nurse sharks. We couldn't fault the crew and Dive Guides. The briefings were really good and health and safety was always a priority. It was our first liveaboard and we couldn't have asked for more. The accommodation was excellent and the fantastic cocktails an added bonus. Thanks to Thomas and all the crew for making the week so special!!

1st time with Emperor fleet and I am impressed with the professionalism!
The diving experience is not the best as expected in Maldives but I guess its just luck sometimes. Otherwise, the entire trip experience has been almost perfect. Food is good, and the BBQ food on the beach is excellent!

Very satisfied of what we see during the trip, tiger shark, bull shark, silver tip shark, whaleshark and hundreds of reef sharks! Big shout out to our lovely dive guide Maria! so considerate of each person's feelings, and so professional underwater as well. Making the diving each more enjoyable. The boat itself is very clean, well organized, very cautious of safety. The little inconvenience is the check out time, everyone needs to disembark at 7am from the boat, while our flight is 2:20pm, which means we have to wait at the open area lobby of the airport without aircon for a very long time. So do well plan your flight time base on the disembark time.

Exceptional week in the Maldives!
Our week on the Emperor Virgo was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the crew, dive masters, and overall experience exceeded every expectation. We completed 17 incredible dives—each one unique—and the team made us feel safe, supported, and inspired the entire time. Their knowledge of the sites, briefings, and calm confidence added so much to the trip. The diving itself was spectacular. We learned how to use reef hooks, drifted along walls as sharks cruised by, and watched manta rays sweep through the dark on a night dive. We saw sharks, mantas, eagle rays, turtles, eels, octopuses, nudibranchs, sea cucumbers, gorgeous coral, and more fish than I could ever list. Every dive felt alive. Life on the boat was just as memorable. The food was fabulous—fresh, plentiful, and far better than I expected on a liveaboard. The rhythm quickly became eat • sleep • dive • repeat, and honestly, I loved it. Our fellow divers included couples from Germany, Belgium, France, and Switzerland, and the shared experience made the trip even richer. Great conversations, lots of laughter, and new friends by the end of the week. The Emperor Virgo team delivered an outstanding experience on every level. If you’re thinking about a Maldives liveaboard—go. This week was one of my all-time favorite dive trips.

Magical Week in the Maldives
Magical trip aboard the Emperor Virgo. Went as part of our honeymoon and it was more than what we even dreamed it could be. The sea life showed up and showed off - mantas, whale sharks, 40+ nurse sharks, diverse dives and countless octopus, micro life, and fish - the crew did everything possible to help us see the best sea life we have ever seen. So good it almost felt surreal. The boat is older but well maintained and the crew were genuinely some of the nicest people we've ever met. Virgo isn't the biggest boat of the Emperor fleet but I can't imagine going on a different one now. We did our homework before we came and I would encourage any future divers to not hesitate booking. Everyone went above and beyond and it was a trip of a lifetime we will never forget!!

Very nice week of diving with all the exceptional wildlife of the Maldives. We were amazed at almost every dive The only downside was the guide of our group (and responsible on the boat) who didn't like to snorkel underwater and often we stayed for a very long time hanging on to the same place while the other groups sailed around the reef

Awesome week in Maldives
Great daily itinerary that was flexible and based on site conditions which allowed us to truly see the best of Maldives - from mantas to stingrays and lots of colourful marine life. The liveaboard itself was extremely cosy and comfortable with delicious meals whipped up for us 3 times a day. The dive crew and guides were great, informative and really friendly. We had a ton of fun with the other guests on board and it really felt like home for a week.
