Highlights
The Sunshine liveaboard offers fantastic budget-friendly dive safaris in the Red Sea. Catering to 20 guests, there is plenty of room for relaxation in between dives. The air-conditioned indoor salon has a bar and entertainment area and ample seating for all guests to enjoy tasty Egyptian and Western cuisine. Itineraries aboard the MY Sunshine explore the best Northern and Southern Red Sea dive sites. South routes cover the Brothers, Elphinstone, Daedalus Reef, and the Salem Express. Pristine diving, strong currents, and large pelagic life action make this route special. The Northern Red Sea route is the best option for wreck lovers, with dives at world-famous wrecks such as the Thistlegorm, Carnatic, Giannis D, and Dunraven. There is also a chance to dive into the colorful reefs of Shark & Yolanda. Nitrox is included for those certified, and the spacious dive deck allows ample space for kitting up and gear storage.

Good value for the money.
The boat is outdated but for the money it’s good. Very nice food. Super friendly and helpful staff. Only the dive guide was a bit moody on the briefings some days. Not enough hot water in the showers. Never hot after the second dive. Also never got a chance to dry the bath towels Disgusting how the boat was parked next to an old wreck of a boat full of smelly barking dogs, 20 of them. You also had to cross that boat to get onboard Sunshine. Luckily not among the dogs though. Slightly dangerous to step on a rope above the sea to get on board.

You get what you pay for
Mixed from the dive guides, it was always a rush and weren't always the friendliest. They did sort out a problem due to two sharing a cabin and not getting on, how ever it was sorted out in full and but a big damper on my trip for the whole week. In my opinion I won't go for the cheapest option again. This boat came around due to the boats and problems of them in 24/25 and yes it's cheap but I would rather pay a little more for a better experience in my opinion Nitrox was free because you got it maybe for a day here and a day there, the engineer kept disappearing to other boats, I will let you come to your own conclusion. The nitrox also run out after a couple of days

Boat was perfect for us, if you are there for the diving
Amazing boat - the staff couldn’t do enough for you and we were very well fed and looked after. As a vegetarian they took extra steps to make sure I was happy. The dive kit we hired was better quality than my stuff at home, so very happy with that. We were put into two groups, so around 6 people per guide, which we felt was comfortable. They gave us a great number of dives and really thorough briefing. For us this boat was everything we needed - you can spend more for a boat with bigger and more updated quarters, but for us it was all about the diving.

Probably best Price/Quality in the Red Sea
Food and staff the best of the trip by far, super friendly, gentle and attentive. A small remarks on drinks, they don't have alcoholic drinks aboard like other boats do so they don't make business with this, but you are welcome to bring your own drinks for the trip. Rental equipment absolutely remarkable with almost all brand new and high-standard brand. Scuba diving platform is huge, plenty of space to equip yourself and diving procedures in general are very good. Nitrox equipment more than sufficient for this kind of trip, some dives are with air and % is not spot on as they do it manually but nothing to worry about. Cabin is probably the worst of the boat as they have 8 cabins in the lower part of the boat, beds are around 1.90m, and the toilet is pretty small with the shower being the toilet itself, but it is the best they can do with 8 cabins in the same level. Upper level cabins bigger but they only have 2 available for guests, I did not see the toilets of the upper cabins. Still, you just need to get used to it and it is not terrible at all, we need to think that we are on a boat, not on a 5-star luxury resort! The boat could maybe be a little bit more clean, but nothing terrible. Don't get scared when jumping on board as their harbor spot is next to an abandoned ship full of dogs that you need to go through to jump in the Sunshine, so first impression can be shocking but then it is even fun if you stay on the boat during the resting day. Dive spots are a little bit different than boats departing from Sharm-al-Sheik as they need to make the way back to Hurghada. The rout is quite well optimized and you can see places than Sharm-al-Sheik boats don't go as Carnatic and Giannis-D wrecks, but for me there were some dives in average spots while we could have diven in other better places arriving a little bit later back to Hurghada. But I am not an expert as well on anchoring spots, so maybe there are some other limitations that I am not aware off. Lastly, this boat is very well known in Russia and normally more than half of the divers will be russian. This is not an issue at all but just as a though, as attitude and way of being is quite different to Europeans, so don't expect much interaction with other divers as they tend to stay within their own group and English level is not great on average. All in all, I would come back to this boat always if the price stays like this. Probably even if the price would go up slightly it would still be worth it as the more expensive boats don't offer that much of a diference on quality. Thanks to Hamada, Mahmut, Captain Mahmud, Ahmed, Bibu and all the rest crew, it was an awesome week!

Perfect for a week diving the Red Sea
We were lucky that there were only 7 guests so we got a cabin each. The dive guides were flexible to accommodate our requests to do specific sites & also to do more dives on the Thistlegorm.

Great value
Had a great time on the sunshine MV. Fantastic value for money. Food was varied and plentiful. Boat is clean and even though it had 20 divers, it didn’t seem crowded during non diving. Would highly recommend for a cheap week diving Tiran top sites
