Highlights
Bajak is a newly renovated boat that brings forth a pirate-like atmosphere while maintaining modern-day comforts for 14 guests. The living space consists of 4 air-conditioned cabins: 1 master cabin with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom, and 3 shared cabins with 4 bunk beds and 2 shared bathrooms. Made mostly from ironwood and teakwood salvaged from decommissioned boats, the Bajak operates as a liveaboard boat in the beautiful setting of the Komodo National Park and offers access to one of the richest marine environments in the world, including stunning coral reefs, seagrass beds, seamounts, pinnacles, dramatic walls, overhangs, semi-enclosed bays, and Komodo Dragons.
The exterior features a spacious, shaded deck ideal for dive preparation, as well as an unshaded rooftop equipped with comfortable bean bags and sun mattresses, perfect for tanning and relaxation. The dining table is set right in the open galley. Additionally, there is a furnished undercover space primed for relaxing and keeping cool.
The itineraries can be set to meet everyone’s picture of a perfect holiday. Complementary to diving are surfing, sailing, snorkeling, and stand-up paddleboarding. Guided walks on the local islands are also possible, allowing one to see the notorious Komodo dragon. Komodo offers some of the best diving in the world, with dive sites such as Manta Point, Batu Balong, and Batu Tiga. The reserve is teeming with diversity. Dugongs, manta rays, white-tip reef sharks, and hawksbill turtles are just a few residents. There is also the option to do your advanced diving course on-site.

Great crew and great dives
The boat and crew are awesome! You shouldn't expect luxury, but a real family environment. The diving spots are very varied. However, you should have a bit of experience with drift dives, as the currents can be strong at times.

Great dive spots and fantastic crew!
I had a great time on the Bajak liveaboard with the Scuba Republic crew! The dives were amazing - we saw manta on three different dives, and the marine life and reefs were some of the best I've seen, with really good visibility. The dive guides were fantastic - they made sure we had a lot of fun, whilst also checking in to ensure we were confident on some of the more challenging dives. Thank you to our dive guide Yunus and the full team on Bajak - I'd definitely recommend this trip for anyone wanting to explore Komodo!

I will do it again in the future
It was a fantastic experience. 14 people is ideal for solo travellers. The staff were super friendly, they took us to the best spots and they made everything so much fun! The atmosphere is ideal, you can socialise but you can also find quiet spots on the boat. Also, the boat is bigger than what it seems online.

Amazing trip
It was an amazing experience to spend 4 days in Bajak with Scuba Republic. We also completed our advanced open water diver with Franck, the best guide we could have wished for. Very professional and has a great knowledge of everything you need to improve your diving skills. Overall, the crew and also the other guests were really nice and we had an amazing time. Would book it again anytime and can fully recommend it without any doubt

Great crew, wonderful experience
Had a wonderful time on Bajak! The crew and dive guides were very experienced. We did 12 dives during the liveaboard and the days also included a sunset trek up on of the islands w an amazing view and an easy trek around Komodo National Park to spot the Komodo dragons. Our guide Angie/Engel is very experienced and made us feel safe for all our dives even though some dive sites may have strong currents. Saw a lot of marine life and also experienced the most thrilling Shotgun! We stayed at the Master Cabin which is en-suite with AC, and has a private “sun deck” outside. Was v comfortable overall! Highly recommended!

Great people, locations and...food.
Our five day liveaboad featured a perfect combination of professionalism and fun from a wonderful group of characters. Dives off the Bajak were superbly planned and experience levels were well-taken into account. Food every day was wonderful and the boat kept clean as can be with a bunch of divers on it all the time! My dive guide, Patricia, was so enthusiastic, patient and helpful all the time and I couldn't have asked for more. We were busy but not too busy, with time built in for relaxing in between activities - perfect for dozing or chatting. Bajak did suffer some leaks on sleepers while it was raining so I hope they fix that. Beds are maybe a bit thinner than some would be used to but there are communal areas to sleep that are comfortable too, in a pinch. Scuba Republic have the right people in the right place and I would be reluctant to choose a different company, given the choice.

Incredible value, fab diving, helpful crew, lovely boat, tasty food....
This trip surpassed my expectations in every way. I was a little worried to book it as it was such a good price, but I trusted the reviews and I am so beyond pleased that I did. The boat is lovely, it felt like home from the moment we stepped aboard. It is very cute and cosy, but also didn't feel at all cramped, even though my trip was full. There were plenty of places to chill out and either chat, read or just look out to sea and admire the beautiful scenery. The bunk bed was super comfy and felt like I had plenty of room. The diving in Komodo was amazing, I did Raja Ampat last year and would say these dives were more fun and more diverse (maybe slightly less pretty coral formations) The Manta action was out of this world and my dive guide, Robbie, was fab. In fact all the guides were absolutely great. The food was the best I have had on a liveaboard, catering really well to veggies and vegans. All the food was tasty and plentiful. I really cannot say enough good things about this trip and fully intend to come back one day and do it all again!

Unforgettable Komodo dive adventure.
Sure! Here's a refined version: I recently embarked on a liveaboard trip to Komodo National Park, and it was an unforgettable experience. The journey was filled with exhilarating dives, delicious food, and enjoyable moments on the boat, including games with fellow divers and crew members. Komodo’s dive sites are truly among the best in the world, and having detailed information about each site beforehand is crucial to make the most of every dive. Equally important was the unwavering support of the crew at every step. The combination of these factors made my time on the Bajak an experience well worth it.
