With 5 air-conditioned cabins with en-suite bathrooms, the Moana Liveaboard caters to 10 divers, ensuring small groups and personal attention. On the upper deck of the KLM Moana Liveaboard is an air-conditioned salon and a large deck area to relax in between diving. Blankets are also available for outdoor lovers who want to sleep outside under the stars. The KLM Moana takes pride in the cuisine offered, and the food is sourced fresh. The fruit and vegetables are from organic farmers around the hills of Labuan Bajo/Flores, and the fish is fresh from local markets. Top-quality meat is flown in from Bali on departure days, and the KLM Moana chefs pride themselves on meals being free from MSG and other additives.
The KLM Moana Liveaboard was custom-built for divers and will take you to the best of the Komodo National Park and some unknown and pristine dive sites. Around Komodo, there are over 50 sites to choose from and have areas to suit every level of experience, whether you have just completed your Open Water course or have years of challenging dives behind you.

Fantastic diving, thriving reefs, amazing staff topped off with Komodo Dragons.
Unbelievable experience. The best liveaboard trip I have been on. The crew were brilliant, nothing was too much hassle. The diving was great, never seen so many fish , everything was bigger in Komodo, huge Napoleons. Getting to see the dragons on the walk at the end capped of an unforgettable trip.

Amazing! I will be back
My first live aboard set the bar high. Fantastic crew. Mario was so knowledged and helpful. Rudi was a great dive master.so mush food and great dive sites. I was so fortunate to get a dive group that was so nice and inclusive. Amazing experience! Watch out for the Titan Triggerfish…..

Dream trip
it is a wonderful diving area, Mario always chose the best route for us and so it never rained (rain season), you can also look on land - sunset, varane. a great experience and another really beautiful underwater world. The food on the Moana was always delicious, and the freshly squeezed juices. delicious. A cozy boat, friendly crew and a competent Mario.

Idyliic Diving on a Beautiful Boat
Excellent boat with great facilities and cabins. The food was second to none (international cruise boat standard) and all crew including the cruise director were friendly and helpful The diving had amazing visibility with all the bucket list items we wanted to see (mantas, sharks, sea crates); the list goes on. Couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommend!

Experienced Guides = excellent trip
The dive spots are amazing. Diving with some of the more experienced guides in the Komodo park. Moana dives exclusively in Komodo year round, which means they understand the dive sites, currents and tides that only years of experience diving the area brings. The boat is comfortable and well run. The pacing of the diving is great - we had the opportunity of up to 4 dives on a full day - which on a 6 day dive trip was about right. We also got to experience some of the Komodo National park - seeing the dragons, doing a sunset walk, spending time on a remote beach. Perfect liveaboard - dive and cruise.

A truly memorable Komodo experience with Moana liveaboard
I had an incredible time aboard Moana in Komodo. As a diver, one can really feel that this boat and its crew have been focused on exploring these waters for a long time — their deep local knowledge made for a perfectly balanced itinerary that combined iconic sites with hidden gems like Police Corner, a site that only reveals its magic at just the right time. With a small group of divers and a spacious, beautifully maintained boat, the atmosphere on board was relaxed and friendly. The crew were always ready to help with a smile, creating a warm, family-like vibe throughout the trip. Add to that some truly delicious meals — it’s safe to say we were spoiled both above and below the surface. Beyond the spectacular diving, the shore excursions offered a glimpse of Komodo’s rugged landscapes and wildlife. And personally, this trip pushed me to fine-tune my diving setup and skills — I left not just with amazing memories, but as a better, more confident diver.
