A great week diving with JP marine
We were lucky with only 8 divers. So that is very nice and comfortable. Good reefs for diving and a lot of air in the tank . Very helpful crew and delicious food. Every was perfect.

Red Sea is one of a kind - but bad service from dive guides
First time on a liveaboard, and first time in the Red Sea! We had a great time, did some really paradise-like dives in the middle of nowhere. That was awesome, other divers were of great company from everywhere in Europe and even from the US. The staff cooked delicious food and always helped making gear up a fun moment. The only issue was with the dive guides, who were not nice and did only the bare minimum for the whole duration of the trip. They were definitely not guest-friendly, refused to help with choosing weights (I had never used a long suite before so didn't know how to adapt my weights), didn't show us anything during any dive, nor seemed open to discuss anything in between dives. I was shocked at the end because they asked for a "compulsory" 20$ tip for dive guides. I was happy to tip the food & beverage and technical staff above the "compulsory" 50$ tip, but for the dive guide if it were not compulsory I would have tipped 0. One thing they managed well was safety.

Except for the bed being a little on the small side and not very comfortable, this was a really good trip. The attention to detail with regards to safety briefings made me feel very comfortable, especially after another boat sank with the loss of many lives! The dive guides were very knowledgeable and the service crew super helpful. But the 5 stars goes to the chefs in the galley who served up 3 full on meals every day, plus snacks in between. I'll be very happy to do a trip with JP Marine again.

Great overall, but too large of a dive master to diver ratio (1:11).
We originally booked the JP Marina, but due to a full charter we’re switched to the Sea Pearl. The Sea Pearl boat was great and actually an upgraded boat, however, they only sent 1 dive guide for 11 people which was difficult to dive as such a large group and oceanic white tip exit to zodiac requirements. It cut our dives short having such a large group. Typically JP Marine has at least 3/4 dive guides for the boat. The dive guide was great, but we needed 1 more for 11 persons.

A good trip for divers of intermediate experience (AOW 50 dives +/-).
I booked a bit last minute and this "pelagic trail" interested me as my hubby has never seen hammerheads. We did Brothers, Deadalus & Elpinstone last year and a northern route in March so this one seemed interesting and the price and dates fitted. We needed to add a transfer last minute and JP Marine were kind enough to accommodate this. I found the staff generally to be quite dull and not very friendly or approachable. Only two seamen and one saloon manager were happy to see us and help to make the trip enjoyable. I applaud the ultra strict approach to safety on the boat and under water but there seemed to be no room for enjoyment. I was at the very back of a group of 10 divers and was reprimanded for being more than 3m from my buddy when I tried to take a photo at Shaab Marsa Alam (a shallow site with no current or dangerous sharks, suitable for open water course). The guide swam quite fast and didn't look back very often so we had to assist other divers on more than one occasion. This would be a good trip for divers of intermediate experience. I don't recommend for dive pros as you won't be given respect for your ability or experience. You will be given a baby sitter who will make sure you do as you are told. If you want to take photos it is essential that you pay extra for a private guide with this company.

Relaxing trip in far away sea.
Itineary "Secrets of Zabargad" - not many liveaboards go there, we stayed there 2 days, as well as on Rocky Island. After it we moved towards St. Johns. Trip was realaxing, we had some interesting dives. The crew of the vessel was always helpful and very friendly. Rooms tidy. Beds were very comfortable, so we slept well during our trip. It was very nice to have always 260 bars in our tanks so we had longer dives. The food was excellent: good breakfast, for lunch and dinner every day something different. Divemasters planned dives well, good organization.
