The Galapagos Sky yacht was built with divers needs in mind to offer year-round world-class diving in the Galapagos Islands. The luxury yacht has been offering dive liveaboard trips in the Galapagos since 2001, and the captain and crew are some of the most experienced in the region. Onboard, 16 passengers are catered to in eight private en-suite guest cabins, each with two twins or one king-size bed, wardrobe, mirrored cabinet, and marine-safe toiletries. The Galapagos Sky liveaboard is fully air-conditioned and offers ample space for rest and relaxation. The main salon features an audio/video entertainment center and a separate dining area where Ecuadorian and international cuisine is served. Dining service is ‘fine’ plated, and beverages, including beer and wine full bar, are included. The top deck is home to loungers for relaxing in between dives or star-gazing in the evening.
Galapagos dive itineraries are 7 nights long and include up to 19 dives - weather dependent. Dives at Wolf and Darwin are the highlight of the trip, and 3 days will be spent here with the chance to see whale sharks, mantas, and schooling hammerhead sharks. There are also land excursions included to truly experience everything the Galapagos Islands have to offer. The dive deck has warm fresh-water showers and hot towels are offered after every dive. Diving from tenders makes getting to and from the dive site hassle-free.

Perfect dive trip to hammerhead and eagle ray spectacle
The under-water-experience with hammerhead sharks, eagle rays, Iguanas and Mola Molas was certainly what we expected: one of the best dive experiences ever! (despite cool water temperatures, especially at the Mola Mola dive site) What we did not expect, but enjoyed as well, was the great support of our dive guides Max and Solon when our under-water camera broke and the helpful hands of the crew when we struggled to get in and out of our thick wetsuits ... including all the warm towels! Equally perfect: the delicious food and drinks ... and the land excursions to Galapagos turtoises, Darwin finches, sea lions, frigate birds and blue-footed boobies.

Nothing short of spectacular
The Galapagos Sky was a truly splendid experience, offering unparalleled encounters with an astonishing array of marine life. The waters revealed a mesmerizing underwater world teeming with vibrant coral reefs, playful sea lions, majestic schooling hammerhead sharks, and whale sharks. Each dive brought thrilling sightings of colorful fish schools, graceful manta rays, and even some of the more elusive species not commonly encountered. The pristine beauty and biodiversity of the Galapagos marine reserve made every moment underwater a breathtaking adventure, leaving a lasting impression of the raw, untouched magnificence of this unique archipelago.

Best dive adventure ever!
Our dive experience on the Galapagos Sky was second to none. The crew was absolutely fantastic. Let’s talk about the diving first. All of the dives were great and we saw tons of things we’ve never dove with before, including tons of sharks, including Hammerheads, Tiger Sharks, Galapagos sharks, white tips, black tips, and silver tips. Huge sharks by the hundred. We also dove with marine iguanas, Galápagos penguins, sea lions, fur seals, large tunas, and Mola Mola. It was all unbelievable and the guides knew where to find all of the good stuff. When your dive is done, the crew greets you by helping you out of your dive gear and a fresh warm drink and some treat. Then its a warm shower on the fantail and the crew gets your gear ready for the next dive while you relive your experiences with your fellow passengers. Enrique (Quique) and Max were our guides and they were both outstanding. You could not ask for better more knowledgeable guides. The boat itself was quite comfortable and the internet worked surprisingly good. The AC did break down one day and it got hot but the crew worked to the best of their ability to get it fixed. The food onboard was excellent and there was always a choice of what you wanted. The cooks and the server were all first rate. They also asked us out the outset if we had any dietary restrictions and a couple member of our party did have issues but the crew took excellent care of them. Our family trip was a bucket list trip and it definitely was just that. I would unreservedly recommend the Galapagos Sky to anyone considering a live aboard to the Galapagos and I’m sure we’ll be back.

World Class Diving with a World Class Crew
The Galapagos Sky is an exceptionally run and maintained ship. The crew sincerely makes every effort to provide for every need before you ask. Safety is of paramount importance. You arrive as a guest but feel like family. Diving face to face with more than a dozen whale sharks of massive size was definitely one of the many highlights. Of course it wouldn't feel like the Galapagos without schools of migrating hammerhead sharks. Even more than 20 mola mola in a single dive! The crew also was exceptionally helpful and careful with my expensive camera equipment. Gourmet dining and libations were the icing on the cake. I plan to return to the Galapagos Islands and will certainly be on the Galapagos Sky!

Incredible experience.
Large schools of hammerhead sharks, large adult whale sharks, sea lions, fur seals, Galapagos penguins, Galapagos bullhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, silky sharks, whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, blue-footed boobies, giant tortoises, and huge schools of fish.

Fantastic, Luxurious Diving Experience
I have stayed on many very good liveaboards, but Galapagos Sky is by far the most luxurious and best diving experience I have had. The diving was exceptional. Everything our guide Solon hoped we would see, was exactly where he took us. We saw: Whale Sharks, Rays, Mola Mola, Hammerheads and Galapagos Sharks along with many Turtles, Marine Iguanas and Morays The crew were incredibly helpful, from assisting us to assemble and put on our equipment before each dive, to helping us derig afterwards then whisking our wet suits away to clean. On returning from each dive, we were greeted with a hot drink, snack and warm towel. The food was exceptional with buffet style breakfast and lunch - where our orders were taken from a menu for the evening meal. This was then served to us at the table, the quality being as good as, if not better, than any restaurant. If you are doing a liveaboard in the Galapagos, I cannot recommend The Galapagos Sky enough. It’s not the cheapest option, but it’s undoubtedly the best. Roger, UK, June 2023
