Completely refurbished in 2019, the Superior-Class Bonita yacht offers exciting small-ship cruises in the Galapagos Islands. Unreal and life changing
Thank you to the Bonita Crew (Raul, Diana, Kleber, etc) and the naturalist (Fabian) for such an amazing 5 days on the Bonita cruise last week. The hospitality, led by Raul was fantastic, 10/10! It was my first time on a cruise, and it was such a positive experience. I hope the staff are treated and compensated well for the amazing work that they do, as they have brought so much joy and comfort to guests, and really make the whole experience so positive and memorable. While the wildlife, landscapes and experiences were amazing, the quality and attitude of the staff members were absolutely outstanding. Fabian was such a passionate, knowledgeable and professional naturalist and guide - he really did his best and gave the group a very rich experience. My husband and I are still looking at photos from the trip, reminiscing the memories and want to go back to the Galappagos Islands again in the future. THANK YOU!!!!

Fernando and Fatima were friendly and very helpful! They were able to inform us clearly on all the important points of this exceptional area! A once in a lifetime experience
We went with another couple. The crew is wonderful and made you feel very comfortable/at home. We were happy with the food and there is plenty of it between the snacks and the meals. Our days were filled with amazing hikes and snorkeling at the different islands and we learned so much from the naturalist about the animals and the islands. The boat and your room is clean. One thing to keep in mind….being a small boat you are going to hear the engine and they travel at night. Bring earplugs as they were effective.

Epic Galapagos experience

The best way to fully experience the Galapagos Islands
Swimming with turtles was a bucket list for me, but having seal lions and penguins come along for the ride made it even more amazing. Seeing the Blue Footed Booby, the Giant tortoises, and all the other wildlife was fantastic. All the islands having unique environments. We had a great guest 'family' and that made for a fun time on board.

Trip of a lifetime!
Trip of a lifetime! What an amazing experience in the Galapagos! The scenery, the animals, the sea life, all incredible! And the best way to experience it all is on a boat like Bonita! The staff was very friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and expertly presented, and the boat was very comfortable and well outfitted. The other thing that we really liked was the small group on this boat. Transfers were quick and easy on and off the islands and snorkelling spots. Plus we were the only ones in the water, or on the trails, so there were no big groups or line-ups. We would highly recommend this boat to anyone who wants to visit the Galápagos.

Exceeded Expectations! Trip of a lifetime!
We were well taken care of from the moment we walked into Quito airport. The communication was impeccable which made for a relaxed smooth journey. The cruise was fantastic. The variety of activities, the wildlife viewing, the food, the knowledge that was shared. We could not have been more pleased. We felt very safe aboard. I can not emphasize enough how amazing the excursions were with our guide being a fountain of knowledge taking the care to make sure we saw everything that we possibly could. The excursions were varied from volcanic hikes, to wildlife viewing in mangroves, to birding, to snorkelling and paddleboarding. It was a jam packed five days and well worth it. Thank you!

Unique experience
The Bonita is a very modern, beautiful ship with great equipment. It was great that almost everything was included. We made great excursions and received a lot of information from our guide. A truly magical place
Seeing the Southern Cross in the same sky as the Big Dipper; seeing sharks in the wild--white tipped reef sharks while snorkeling and Galapagos sharks swimming around the boat; seeing the tortoises, iguanas, and many species of birds; swimming with sea lions; meeting and interacting with our wonderful guide and the crew. The Galapagos islands proved to be the special place I thought they would be. Thank you, Bonita and crew!

Excellent, Friendly and Memorable
The trip was beyond our expectations. The crew and guide could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. Every day was packed with a mixture of land and water adventures. Really enjoyed my trip
I enjoyed my trip on the Bonita as a solo traveller. Our guide was awesome, very experienced and had an enthusiasm that made every animal sighting seem special. I enjoyed the group I was with and felt the dining setup helped us socialise. The snorkelling gear was good - make sure you don't request a too-large wetsuit as you may be too cold. I enjoyed the fruit juices, most of the snacks, fresh fruit and desserts. The crew were polite and helpful, with very attentive housekeeping. The itinerary was very active and jam-packed most days, but really enjoyable particularly the snorkelling. You will be waking up at 6am or earlier most days and there isn't much downtime until later in the week. I liked the modern fit out and felt that everyone had enough space to relax on the ship. This is a great trip for casual nature and animal lovers who was to spot many animals and learn basic and fun facts (not people who want a lot of scientific info or serious photography). Some things I wish I knew: hair conditioner is not provided, only shampoo. If you are a picky eater or a snacker, bring your own packaged snacks as they are not available for purchase, although you are well-fed. The food was plentiful and relatively varied, but I did not find it delicious. The meat was a bit overcooked and there wasn't a lot of flavour in the dishes. If you are vegetarian, don't let the 'allergies only' message put you off requesting that. Also if you have mobility or fitness concerns I highly recommend asking for more information as a lot of the walks had uneven terrain and you need to be able to balance frequently on the side of the panga/dingy. Unlike some other reviewers, I found that 7 days was more than enough, particularly as the last couple are land based only and a bit repetitive. We also had a rough sailing that made many people ill so bring medications. The requested tip was higher than expected but there is an opportunity to get cash out (and buy souvenirs) in the town. Overall I am happy with my choice to go on the Bonita. I always felt safe and well organised.

Wonderful crew and great mix of active international travelers
Seeing the baby sea lions nursing with their mothers, the giant tortoises, snorkeling and kayaking and the many fascinating hikes. The food was wonderful. I always looked forward to the great Ecuadorean snacks after our afternoon activities. Our guide and the crew were so helpful and friendly. And it was lovely that the other guests came from many different countries and were all very adventurous and interesting.
