Highlights
The Chichagof Dream offers five comfortable cabin types, each with a private bathroom, complimentary toiletries, a large wardrobe, and a window or porthole. Each small ship cruise usually has a maximum of 78 guests, though some cabins can sleep an extra one or two guests. The vessel was renovated in 2015, having been built in 1984. There are large outdoor viewing areas, including a sun deck and a lovely lounge with large windows that provide expansive views. Delicious and well-presented Western food, with vegetarian-friendly options, is served in the spacious dining room. There’s plenty of space for guests of all ages to wander and stretch their legs. Kayaks are available for active adventures on the water, and you can relax in the onboard salt cave at the end of a fun-filled day.
The Chichagof Dream sails from Sitka to Juneau or Juneau to Sitka (depending on the itinerary), taking in many of Alaska’s stunning sights. As well as admiring gorgeous landscapes, your cruise lets you observe interesting, big, and small wildlife from close quarters. The Chichagof Dream specializes in family cruises. A trained youth leader accompanies guests, providing special activities and presentations for younger passengers (over 7). As a family, you can spend seven nights soaking up the sights and sounds of Alaska. You can visit the Alaska Raptor Center, Fortress of the Bear Rescue Center, Sitka Sound Science Center, and Sheldon Jackson Museum in Sitka. It’s then onto Saginaw Bay for varied activities before whale-watching at Frederick Sound and visiting the Scandinavian-like town of Petersburg. Other highlights include the glaciers at Tracy Arm Fjord and Glacier Bay National Park and a dog-sledding demonstration and tour in Juneau. There’s certainly enough variety to keep all members of the family happy!
The friendly and experienced crew members are waiting to welcome you and your kids aboard the Chichagof Dream, ready for your amazing family holiday together. Give everyone something to get excited about and look forward to and book online to secure your cabins and preferred dates.

Amazing experience with excellent crew and food along with meeting some spectacular folks from different parts of the world and US.
The overall trip was awesome, the scenery, areas visited, activities were excellent. The weather could of been better but we were the last trip of the season and that tends to be the rainy season. As they say, we can't control the weather!!! The one thing I feel that is important this day and age is the access to cell range and internet. Starlink would be able to provide that to the boat at a minimum overall cost. I know some of their boats have it.

The wildlife was simply extraordinary
An unforgettable way to spend my 60th birthday. I have not done a cruise before, but was so glad we chose this option. The boat was comfortable, well organised, the staff were all incredibly helpful. Special mention to Brian and Ryanna (apologies if my spelling is not correct) for constant cheerfulness and positivity. There were some problems with catering initially due to logistical problems, but they surpassed this, and the food was mostly significantly above average fare, sometimes reaching the heights of excellence. Not being the best of sailors, we were a bit concerned, but the boat was very stable, and we had no problems throughout. Also, the bed was so comfortable that we slept superbly. The single best aspect of this, was that we were is a smaller boat rather than a giant cruiser, that could navigate narrow fjords and inlets, and that the expert team knew where and how to look for wildlife, plus were flexible so that if something interesting was there, then we spent as much time as possible. The wildlife was simply extraordinary; very many whale encounters, and to see both humpbacks and orcas close up and breaching was very special. At times we felt as if we were actually in a David Attenborough documentary.
