The Komodo Sea Dragon is a 38mtr/125ft long liveaboard in Indonesia. It is accompanied by a smaller, 18mtr/59ft long boat designed to keep all the dive gear and the compressor, as well as take the divers directly to the best sites. Aboard the main vessel, guest cabins are located on the upper and main decks, with plenty of natural light and breathtaking ocean views. There are 8 sun loungers on the upper deck, as well as a relaxation area that can be converted into an outdoor dining area. The bar, library and audio/video entertainment are in the air-conditioned lounge, by the outdoor bar, all located on the main deck.

The Komodo Sea Dragon’s 7 days/6 nights itinerary takes guests to some of the best spots in Indonesia, where guests have the chance to see amazing marine life and the legendary Komodo dragon. The adventure starts on Padar Island, for diving and snorkeling around the beautiful reefs. From there, the boat will move on to South Komodo, where guests will explore more of the amazing underwater world. The last stop on the itinerary is Komodo Island, home to the famous Komodo dragons. Amazing Liveaboard Experience, I loved diving with the Komodo Sea Dragon Crew!
I would highly recommend discovering Komodo using a liveaboard like this. This was my first time on a liveaboard and will certainly not be my last.

Everything about Sea Dragon and diving in Komodo was fantastic 👌
I loved everything about ths trip. Meeting the Komodo Dragons was exciting. The amazing view after walking up the mountain for the sunset. The crew outnumbered the guests, they were all fantastic and always happy. Great diving and I met some lovely people on the trip too

My first liveaboard. I came with 20 logged dives which was the bare minimum to join the trip. So I was concerned that I may cause inconvenience to any other guests on the boat. Jello, the dive master who was leading the group that I am, did a wonderful job making sure that I am safe and enjoying the life under water on every single dive. (Thank you so much, Jello) Besides the dives, the whole crew were more than what I could hope for - Caring, kind, lively. Always welcoming you when you return from divings. My room was always kept clean, the food was really nice ( I have dietary restrictions and I still felt really accommodated.) Each moment on Komodo Sea Dragon was beautiful and unforgettable.

Just Book, FANTASTIC boat and crew
What a fantastic experience. First off, I was hesitant to book due to the lack of reviews and so many options, boy was I surprised. Just a great week all around but what really stood out was the boat. Absolutely stunning. CLEAN rooms, comfortable beds, the double rooms have a balcony, large windows in the shower and the room so you always have a gorgeous ocean view. Spacious and comfortable inside and outside area. I woke up at 05:30 every morning and had coffee outside on the upper deck. There is a separate dive boat that travels with the liveaboard, it just makes it that much more comfortable. The crew was amazing, really went out of their way to make everything comfortable. Dive guides very knowledgeable, always felt safe. Great diving!! Impressive reefs, loved the mantas. No complaints at all but it would be nice to have nitrox as an option. Also instead of a night dive every night, maybe some days a second afternoon dive instead. These are not complaints though. Will be back someday. Thanks to the crew of Komodo Sea Dragon!!! Lacy USA

Best Liveaboard I have ever been on.
We were lucky that during Christmas, boat was only 50% booked. Se I had a room to myself. Rooms are very large for a live aboard anyway, so this was super spacious. Food was great. Uncle Benny told us great bedtime stories at the end of each day. Even though it was rainy season at some areas had low visibility, we still found amazing places to dive and lots of Mantas!!! Boat is large and comfortable, not over crowded, the dive tender is big and spacious. I've done 5 liveaboards and this is the best by far.

From start to finish, everything was all taken care of!
From landing at the airport, to being dropped off at our hotel after the trip - everything was sorted. We just needed to show up. The staff were all very friendly and extremely on top of taking care of things. The entire boat was extraordinarily clean and accommodating to use. The diving, as expected, was spectacular. Definitely the most stress-free live-aboard I've been on.

An unforgettable experience on the Komodo Dragon!
I had a wonderful time on a dive safari aboard the beautiful, comfortable, and cozy Komodo Dragon. This was only my second liveaboard, and as a relatively inexperienced diver traveling with a group of female friends, I was naturally worried that our skills might not be enough for Komodo’s waters. However, the crew and dive guides went above and beyond to make us feel safe while ensuring we enjoyed the incredible marine life. Our guide, Fandi, was very attentive; he showed us so many interesting creatures and paid close attention to our gear. All our dives—even those with currents—were comfortable and smooth. We were lucky enough to see mantas at almost every site. The coral gardens are breathtaking; I’ve never seen such a variety of healthy, pristine corals, even in the Maldives or the Red Sea. The boat itself is spacious and clean. The cabins have everything you need and are cleaned daily—and I have to say, the shampoo and conditioner provided were the best I’ve ever used! The chefs also deserve a special mention. Every day we enjoyed a fresh, delicious à la carte menu; we definitely never went hungry! On our first day, Jello gave a very thorough briefing covering everything from boat layout and daily routines to emergency procedures and safety. It was the most detailed briefing I’ve ever heard. We were quite lucky to have only five people on board. Our boat was one of the first boats allowed out of port after a month-long break due to bad weather, so we had almost every dive site to ourselves—an incredible stroke of luck since famous spots are usually crowded. The weather was perfect for all five days: not a single cloud or drop of rain. A huge thank you to the team. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for great diving in a fun, safe, and pleasant atmosphere!

The best liveaboard I have ever been on!
The diving is was beautiful, the food was absolutely amazing. The crew were just the best. Real luxury! Always offered tea or coffee, even between dives. Someone always opening doors and helping you with whatever you needed. I will definitely book this boat again next time I come to Komodo. If you want a real luxury dive experience, look no where else. If Jello and his team are on board, you are going to have the best diving you can get in Indonesia.

Beyond expectation! Perfect first time!
Everything was very well-organized and the crew on board are super friendly and helpful. It’s my first liveabroad and the rooms and facilities are beyond expectations! Spacious and comfy. We had very good sleep the entire trip. The dives and trekking were also amazing! Some sites did not have the best visibility and it’s a shame we couldn’t see manta. But plenty of beautiful corals and schools of fish and sharks! The diving guides were also very reassuring; very detailed briefing and we didn’t encounter too much current and felt very safe. Slight problems with regulator were fixed very quickly.

Overall ok, have eaten better and more varied for the price. Food was ok, nothing more.Great crew, spacious cabin It would be good to point out that you can disembark very early in the morning. If I had known this before, I could have booked other flights and saved a whole day of the return journey All in all a good diving trip. Thank you

Excellent liveaboard
The dive site selection was top notch. Dive guides and the whole crew couldn’t do enough for you. Food excellent. The boat had a refit and the standard of the bedrooms and bathroom were better than my hotel room. There’s lots of space on the boat, so you can chill when you want. Great choice for a liveaboard.

Absolutely perfect liveaboard experience. We loved the boat - beautiful design, spacious rooms, great mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. The crew was really friendly and we felt like friends by the end of the week. The diving was second to none. We also appreciated that the trip had some on-land excursions: a sunrise hike and a short trek to see some Komodo Dragons. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I'm so glad we did it.

Exceptional Trip!
We spent 8 days on the Komodo Sea Dragon diving around Komodo Island and it was absolutely amazing! The boat and crew were fantastic and the dive team worked hard to make sure we had spectacular/safe dives while still respecting the reef. You cannot pick a better boat to dive with!

Top-notch comfort with world class dives
One thing that stood out is how the Komodo ship has an adjacent dive boat to better access remote dive sites as well as having an overall luxurious experience. The staff are friendly, extremely experienced, and know how to maximize the dive experience for the passengers on board. I highly recommend this for any diver, new or highly experienced, looking to see healthy reefs, rich biodiversity, and scenic island stops.

An amazing trip all round, dive sites were well chosen with so much to see. Staff were very helpful and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects f the trip. Safety was a priority with the crew showing a great safety first culture and making sure dives were safe and enjoyable. All in all a great experience and I defiantly recommend the Komodo Sea Dragon and Jello to all my friends.

Most of the dives were with good visibility. Wonderfully beautiful corals with a lot of marine life. Mantas and turtles in several of the dives. Crew very good and so was the food.

Just a fantastic trip. The location is amazing. The sea life and macro is stunning. The Komodo dragons and shore trips were wonderful. The knowledge and experience of the dive guides was impressive. Our guide Benny was so patient and could find the coolest macro life. Other groups had the same experience with Jello and Elfin. But what stands out the most is the warmth, kindness and joy in the crew. From the galley staff to the boat crew to the dive staff - they made the experience special. A heartfelt thank you to Jello, Benny, Allan, Bonny, the chef, Captain Aziz and the entire crew.
