Best way to dive the reef!

Couldn't have asked for a better trip. Definitely the best way to experience the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea.

Rentals and food allergies

Staff was very friendly cabins were clean and food was pretty good. I would recommend this boat for many many reasons and absolutely book with them again. With that, I would like to point out a few things that I think did not quite match the price point. 1. Food allergies were absolutely adhered to but there were a few times when I was left out of the between dives snacks due to no other option being prepared. I'm pretty used to that so I probably would have brought a few snacks with me to make sure if that happened it didn't happen again. At this price I did expect at least an alternative but will plan accordingly in the future. The menu is super carb heavy as well which if you're not used to can be an issue as there wasn't much of an alternative for that. 2. The dive brief was pretty hard to hear. The speaker would start out loud then finish his sentences dropping his volume. That being said, I'm pretty deaf and getting closer did help that issue some. Just be aware and add that into your special request packet if you have any issues hearing. Again, not a massive deal if you're properly prepared though I do think it would be beneficial for the lead to be made aware if he isn't already. 3. The rental fins were absolute trash and there's absolutely no way I'd ever use them for anything with a current. Probably should have looked into that a little bit more before assuming they had decent fins so I'm really just adding that so if you're on the fence about bringing your own fins you will. I will never ever make that mistake again. 4. The absolute only full on complaint I have is that the door to my in suite bathroom rattled so loudly I had to sleep with the door open and a washcloth stuck in between the frame and door. When the entire boat was being tossed around it was an added inconvenience. So really not the biggest problem in the world just more of an annoyance. All in all I was extremely happy and would sign right back up for a different trip on the spoilsport way before I'd switch companies for the area.
