This was my first trip to Egypt and was made into an awesome adventure thanks to Liverboard.com and the crew aboard the Freedom 4.
Hi there, this is my first trip to Egypt and it wont be my last. The trip from start to finish was awesome and my good lady and I had a fantastic time. We are both seasoned divers, avid underwater photographers and had been searching for a Liver-board for some time now so we were glad to have chosen Sharm El Sheik as our destination with Freedom 4 as our service providers. From the moment we signed up for the trip to the time we left the boat we had all our questions regarding safety concerns and dive locations answered. The staff at the dive centre were professional, friendly and well organised. The boat itself was beautifully finished, well organised and had every amenity that you would need on board. The food onboard was nothing short of exceptional and a special mention should go to the chefs onboard as they did an amazing job on every meal. The dive briefings were comprehensive and thorough and is a testament to the experience of the dive guides as well as the experience of the crew. As a Padi instructor and a dive professional it's always a challenge for any dive guide to cater for the different needs of divers on the boat. A few "swap arounds" after the first days diving saw the groups decided into similar categories from fast swimmers looking for sharks to slow photographers looking for Nudibranchs. The top up system with the onboard compressor utilising a long hose bringing the air to the tanks in place makes getting ready for your next dive a breeze. The highlight of our trip was definitely getting to dive on the Thistlegorm and like many divers who have came before us and indeed will follow in our fin strokes, wreck qualified or not, this will be a lasting memory of awe.

Positive experience, we had a great time
Our guide Mahmood was great and accommodated requests whenever possible (for example we managed to do 4 dives at Thistlegorm including a night dive). There was one guide for 9 divers, but we didn't feel it was a problem. The crew was friendly and the food was great. The only slightly annoying thing was that the they only offered 2 nitrox tanks per day per person (and they didn't say that anywhere before booking) and it was usually 28% rather than the more standard 32%. Having said that, it was our first liveaboard and it was a great experience.

Nice for first time liveaboarders
It was a nice trip. Friendly guide and crew. Weather (April 2026) wasnt the best. Boat captain and guide did their best to go to calmer regions and to accomodate all divers levels. A few in the group and I thought that there should have been more at least one more guide diver - it wasnt bad afterall. It is a good trip for those who have never been in Sharm before, and those who want to experience liveaboard for the first time (it was only 4 days). I recommend taking a longer trip. This would give you more flexibility with the sites.

The crew and the boat at the top, the centre to be reviewed
The boat was comfortable and well maintained, the crew was exceptional, always smiling, helpful and professional. The food was excellent throughout the stay. Samir was an amazing chef! The dive sites were beautiful and the atmosphere on board very pleasant. A huge thank you to the crew who largely contributed to the success of this cruise.Unfortunately, several points disappointed us. We only did one night dive during the whole safari, which seemed like a little to us. Above all, the night dive on the Thistlegorm did not take place in the end. Our guide told us that it was forbidden, while several other boats seemed to be doing it at the same time and that it was part of the program. We were particularly disappointed, as this dive was one of the highlights we expected from this trip.We also found that the management sometimes lacked dynamism. Finally, on the way back, we had to wait about an hour to get our bill, without any drink being offered to us during this wait.We still have very good memories of the boat, the crew and the dives we made.We probably won't be coming back with this center, although we would gladly recommend the boat and its crew, who were impeccable throughout the stay.

Excellent compromise price/stays/diving with very nice format
Great stay, boarding a bit long on the first day (everything could be done beforehand to facilitate boarding. The dives are superb. The internet connection is very bad. The meals are good, but often a bit the same. The cabins are a bit simple, sometimes with a few hairs of other inhabitants or papers of former tenants... no sheets on the duvets... Change of boat before departure to be on the freedom III.

Good but 1 guide for 9 divers
The trip was fun, we were not so lucky with the weather but we always managed to dive even if in different places sheltered from the wind. We were just 9 guests on a boat for 24 so we had plenty of space. I think the main issue was that there was just one guide for the 9 of us and this was very limiting. I think there should have been at least 2 guides.
