Good diving but some safety and guides professionalism concerns
The diving itself was amazing, we saw a whale shark on the last day of diving! The food was good as well. The drinks we so-so, no regular coffee and we had to pay 2 euros per cup for the espresso machine. Now the safety was the worst I've seen so far... The guides took some questionable decisions on a few dives and weren't very friendly when confronted, the boat smoke alarms were NOT working (and this was acknowledged by the crew) and some of the boat's safety rafts were permanently attached to the sun deck (had to find actual scissors somewhere if you were to cut the straps).

Some safety concerns
There were some safety concerns on the boat. We found out that the smoke detectors didn’t work in the whole boat. The crew admitted that they found an issue a few days before the departure but didn’t fix it. Also, many life wests were in a bad shape. Other than that everything was okay. We did St. John’s route and I was a bit underwhelmed by it. Corals are very healthy, but marine life was scarce. In conclusion I wouldn’t recommend neither the boat nor the route.

- St. John’s has some of the healthiest corals I’ve ever seen. Swim throughs are amazing.

Good experience
Wonderful trip overall. Dive guides were great, this route (st johns - elphin - dead) covers a lot of km’s so bit of motion sickness came with. Wish they had more vegan/veggie hot food options, more shade available on the boat, and a hand rail adjacent to the stairs going to the bottom cabins. Also the layout of the dining area is very cramped and awkward. Lastly, the last rooms of the bottom cabins have one bed that is elevated and a bathroom that is half the size, I don’t think these rooms should be sold for the same price as they’re a bit uncomfortable, I ended up sleeping outside most nights as it was just easier. Boat is a 5/10 for me, crew 10/10, diving 9/10.

Great staff, lovely boat
Dolphins chasing the bow waves, sunshine, great diving, such genuinely lovely crew members Spotless quiet relaxed boat My only slightly comment would be that I couldn't see evidence of recycling (maybe in the background?) and just too many desserts! They look good but some of them tasted a bit weird, I would just stick to the yummy cookies, fruit and maybe one fancy pudding?

Great week away
This was a great trip. Although We've been on plenty of liveaboards, we'd never been on a Sea Serpent boat before, so was slightly apprehensive. Needn't have worried as the boat was brilliant, the crew really friendly and helpful and a really good itinerary. My only minor gripe was that the dive guides, whilst allowing us to dive our own plan, were a little slow to let us do that, so a few too many guided dives for my liking. also one of the guides was a little inconsistent in what he did - the dives that were guided rarely followed the dive brief. That is a minor gripe though and for anyone who likes being guided, I'm sure that's not a problem.
