Highlights
The Blue Dolphin is a brand-new boat built in 2022 and is 27.5 meters / 90 feet long, providing plenty of space for guests to enjoy their time on board. There are 4 different types of air-conditioned cabins available, including the Upper Deck Master Cabin with an ensuite bathroom, a Kingsize bed (or 2 single beds), and stunning views of the sea. The Main Deck Master Cabin is also ensuite and offers a large double bed (or 2 single beds) and direct access to the main deck. Standard Twin and Quad shared Cabins don't have ensuite facilities, but they share 4 bathrooms between them. There is a spacious dive deck so divers can kit up comfortably. The food is served in buffet style and is a mix of local and western cuisine.
The Similan Islands are home to some of the most beautiful corals and marine life in the world, making them a true haven for scuba divers and nature lovers alike. The Blue Dolphin offers 4-day trips that include stops at Similans, Koh Bon, Tachai, Richelieu, and Seachart. Visited dive sites include West of Eden, Shark Fin Reef, Boulder City, Elephant Head Rock, Turtle Rock, North Point, Three Trees, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai Pinnacle, the famous Richelieu Rock, and Boonsung Wreck.

The perfect first liveaboard
Richelieu is definitely the best dive spot, and the people are all so nice. I didn't feel any discomfort during the trip because all Blue Dolphin managers are very kind and helpful.

Great laid-back diving on nice boat and attentative crew
I was really glad we got to dive Richelieu Rock 3 times. That was totally worth it. Thanks to Steve for taking it easy and giving enough slack for us to explore around on our own while still keeping an eye on just in case :)

Phantastic 4 days
We booked the 4 nights tours around the Similan islands, and our time on the Blue Dolphin was just perfect! The boat is newly refurbished and spacious, catering to smaller groups and taking only 4 divers per guide. Our en-suite cabin was big enough for our suitcases, with a hot shower and a good AC. The instructors Alex and Brie were wonderful, taking care of everything and making us feel safe and well informed. The crew was amazing, always wearing a big smile and feeling us more than welcome, and the food was plentiful and always just great - and we were fed 5 times a day ;-) the dives were amazing, too, plenty of fish and marine life, different sites for all levels. The equipment was in great shape, too - everything was really phantastic, we enjoyed our 4 days thoroughly and can absolutely recommend the Blue Dolphin.

Can't Find a Con
I've never felt so honored to write a review. Coming from the USA to SE Asia for the first time, my friend and I were unsure what to expect aboard the Blue Dolphin. Specifically, I was uncertain they'd be able to accommodate my vegan+ gluten friendly diet, but I was so ignorant! The Blue Dolphin and her crew were the perfect balance of kindness and fun. They were extremely professional, but were able to enjoy laughs and stories all together. The ship is as large and spread out as I could hope. Plenty of room for quiet reading or sharing of fish tales. The rooms were kept so clean and cool. After each dive, the crew handed us a fresh drink and warm towel which became the only good part of getting out of those beautiful waters. To top it all off, I think I can say with full honesty that the stuffed me to the brim with some of the best food I've had in my entire life. Traveling through asia as a gluten free vegan was not easy, or not until I boarded the Blue Dolphin. I'm still thinking about those curries a month later. My review wouldn't be complete without a heartfelt thank you to Bri, our lovely guide. There were only 12 drivers aboard, and Bri + my buddy and I had our own unique dive each time. Bri's energy and excitement helped us embrace the beauty of this area, and she's extremely knowledgeable about the sea and its critters! Wow, what a great crew, and a trip to remember. Thank you, Big Blue!

Wonderful experience!
Wonderful experience! Although we weren’t lucky enough to see manta rays or whalesharks, the diving experience with Blue Dolphin was truly amazing with great food, service and friendly staff. My favorite was definitely Richelieu Rock, you will certainly enjoy large schools of fish swimming around you and other rich marine life there.
