The Amalia Komodo is a 29-meter/95-feet-long phinisi liveaboard taking 11 guests on diving safaris in Komodo, Indonesia. There are 5 cabins on board: 2 double en-suite, 2 twin bunk rooms, and 1 family cabin. The twin and family cabins share a bathroom. The cabins boast natural ventilation and a fresh nautical theme with ample storage space. The sun deck is on the upper deck and is complete with sunbeds that offer a sunbathing opportunity in the daytime and a stargazing experience at night. Freshly squeezed juice, hot ginger tea, and ice-cold water are always available on board.

The liveaboard's schedule offers North and South options, depending on the season, with 11 dives (including a night dive) and trekking opportunities to see Komodo Dragons, Pink Beach, and Padar Hike. Awesome experience!!
What a trip! I highly enjoyed every minute on this boat and immediately felt welcome by all the team. The dive guides were very knowledgeable, relaxed and genuinely fun people to be with. The food was excellent and there was good variety. The dive sites were amazing with stunning corals and excellent wildlife. I highly recommend this boat and look forward to come and dive with Uber Scuba again.

Mantamania on Amalia
This was an increbible dive trip. As it is low season we were mostly the only boat at the dive sites. We hat 11 dives and saw manta rays on several of them. All sites were at least very good tropical diving, some just over the top. The cruise director Rian is very knowledgable about the sites, and both professional and a nice personality. The whole crew is very friendly and does everything to make it an enjoyable trip. Food is freshly cooked and offers a good variety. Highly recommended!

Really good!
I had a really good experience on the Amalia! The diving was unbelievable and the guides really knowledgeable providing really thorough briefing. All the crew onboard is very friendly and always happy to help. Cabin and bathroom are a bit small but the rest of the boat is very comfortable.

I just wrapped up an incredible diving experience in Komodo, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. My journey started aboard the Amalia Liveaboard, which completely exceeded expectations. From the very beginning, the entire crew made safety feel like a top priority without ever taking away from the fun. Every dive was well-briefed, organized, and relaxed—exactly what you want when exploring world-class sites. A huge thank you to Zara, Venand, Antonio, and the whole crew for creating such a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Their passion for diving really shows, and it made every moment—above and below the water—even more special. let’s talk about the food… absolutely delicious. After long dives, coming back to amazing meals was just the cherry on top of an already perfect experience. The diving was fantastic. Incredible sites, vibrant marine life, and a great group of divers to share it all with. I loved it so much that I booked two more days with Uber Scuba after coming back from the Liveaboard. That probably says it all. If you’re considering diving in Komodo—do it. And if you get the chance to go aboard Amalia, don’t think twice.

Experience of a lifetime!
My husband and I had an amazing experience aboard the Amalia Komodo!!! It exceeded all our expectations. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the crew provided outstanding service. They always went above and beyond. For my husband's birthday on the boat, the crew baked a homemade cake and organized the sweetest celebration. Oh yes, and the diving was incredible!!!!!!! We both started the trip with less than 20 dives and had just gotten our advanced open water certs. This trip took our diving skills and confidence to the next level. We saw things we never thought we'd see while having fun and feeling safe. Komodo diving is just world class! If you've ever considered a liveaboard, we couldn't more highly recommend Uber Scuba and the Amalia Komodo.

Fun and Mantas aplenty onboard the Amalia
Had a great trip during early March to central and South Komodo. Didn't see any rain, but saw lots of Mantas and reef sharks. Lots of weird critters on two nice night dives. The crew were great, especially the dive guides. Comfy ship with good food and beds. I hope to come back for the North!

This boat is amazing. It was owr first liveaboard and they havv e set a very high bar for the next. The staff was amazing, super friendly and nice. They were super attentive. The prepared all equipment, always kept us fed (and food was amazing and plentiful), and took care of everything.

Wonderful experience.
I had a wonderful live aboard experience. Fantastic guides and crew. This was an affordable liveaboard but the service felt lux! They operate a well oiled machine. Staff were warm and welcoming, professional and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great dive experience, such as getting us to dive sites before other boats arrived and choosing the best locations based on the conditions. They made sure we felt prepared to dive in the currents. The food was wonderful and really, everything was perfect.

Amazing dive sites with good food and friendly staff
The dive sites in Komodo are other worldly. Amazing coral and of course the currents and mantas made for an unforgettable experience. The staff made the whole trip extra special. They were all equally kind and caring. My dive guide France was an amazing macro spotter and all the other dive guides were informative. The chef always came up with delicious meals/snacks and drinks. The rental equipment felt safe and new. The rooms had comfortable bedding and enough ventilation. But it can sometimes get hot and we slept on the deck which was an experience of itself. All in all it was an unforgettable experience elevated by the food and friendly staff. Just know that the rooms are not air conditioned and sometimes can get hot for which the solution is to sleep on the deck along with the stars and a cool breeze.

The entire crew of the Amalia was just great. The people are very competent, well trained and friendly. Everyone was anxious to give you an unforgettable time.We were kept in small groups, which was great as the dive guides had plenty of time for everyone. We had brilliant day trips and beautiful sunsets.The dive sites have been selected very thoroughly and according to the times of day. The food was probably the best we had in our whole Indonesia vacation.We miss you already and will certainly come back.Smile Bro!!!

An amazing once in a lifetime experience!
Couldn't recommend this experience more - everything was great from check in to check out. The crew was so helpful and on top of things - our water bottles were filled and refridgerated after every dive, beds made, with snacks and fresh juice waiting for us. The knowledge of the dive sites was also incredible, we had detailed run downs prior to every dive and the guides knew each site like the back of their hands. The boat was also perfect - we had plenty of shade yet lots of open and fresh air. It rained once and crew instantly put up the tarps so that we stayed dry. I never felt cramped and we had space to spread out during breaks.

Worth every penny
This liveaboard was really enjoyable in almost every way. They are very professional, and yet they managed to be incredibly fun at the same time. The itinerary is constantly changing, which is a good sign because they’re paying attention to what is needed by the group and what is necessary due to nature. Our group had very different ability levels, and everybody was catered for. Our least confident member seemed very happy with her experience and the members in our group, including professional divers, also seemed very happy. The food was absolutely amazing and it was plentiful. There was an issue with the fence is not fitting my tiny feet very well and my DM did everything he could to make it work. This would be my one area for them to improve. I had warned them that I had very small feet, but I do not feel that they took that as seriously as they needed to. I was in the superior twin cabin, and although there was no Aircon, there was good air circulation.

Wonderful and Amazing First Live Aboard Experience
A spectacular five day live aboard for myself and fiancé (who just received her Advanced Open Water in Bali) around the waters of Komodo National Park. The rich coral and fish diversity made almost every dive, 15 in total, a wonderful experience. Highlights of the trip were: the short excursion to visit the famed Komodo dragons (we spotted seven of them) and the Manta Ray alley, where we saw over ten of the beautiful creatures, one swimming directly over us. An amazing experience above and below the water. This was our first live aboard and overall was a 10/10 experience. Not only were the other passengers an eclectic and interesting group, the boat staff and our underwater navigator/divemaster were professional and got the job accomplished, that is providing remarkable safe dives with abundant and terrific meals above the water. Many times, the captain of the vessel pitched in to help us out gearing up or getting in and out of the boats. A shout out to our divemaster Tarsi. His ability to not only navigate around some of the finest coral reefs in the world was appreciated; he also pointed out the most obscure and smallest of maritime creatures. In addition, he, and the rest of the boat’s crew and divemasters/instructor, were always diligent about the safety of the passengers. All dives were well planned and explained in detail pre-dives. We always felt confident on the nautical and diving professional staff. Will be back.

Highlight of my Indonesia Trip!
The team at Uber Scuba could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Every dive was well planned and filled with incredible marine life, the boat was extremely comfortable for lounging between dives and sleeping, and every meal we ate was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a once in a lifetime diving experience!

The crew of the Amalia & from the Uberscuba team is professional, super friendly, helpful at all times and immediately. From the office with Indi and his team to the boat with Rian & and his people, everyone did an excellent job and always with a smile on their faces. Diving in small groups of max 4 people and a guide was first class from briefing to guiding and always focused on safety.The food on board was simple, but very good and varied. The boat itself was practically equipped, with a sufficiently large dive deck and plenty of space to rest on the main and upper decks. The weak point was the cabins and their wet rooms, which in our opinion need to be overhauled. Bed was very small for 2 people and especially crooked, the wet rooms smelled very strongly of drain. The safari was an experience and we will always remember the crew of the Amalia!!Weather: Sun/no rain during 5 daysVisibility: 10-15mDiving areas: South National Park Marine Life & Flora: 4 out of 5 starsWater temperature: 23-27 degrees

Once in a lifetime trip
This trip could not have been better organized by a more competent staff. I learned quickly that the conditions are more important than the location and uber scuba assessed the currents and weather constantly to make sure every dive was a great one. This is so important in Komodo, where the currents and visibility can change dramatically. The entire staff is a ton of fun, also, and the vibe was always positive. Could not recommend this company more.

I had a wonderfull divetrip with Amalia in June 2025
An amazing expercience, that's how i will remember my 4D/3N liveaboard with Anthonio, Venand and Indi. Great divespots, most of the time earlier then other boats so the spot was almost always 'ours' from the beginning. Also some nice trips to Komodo Dragon island and Padar island. The food changed daily (not one meal was the same), there were plenty of snacks and fruit and almost after every dive we got a wonderfull smoothie. So would I recommend it; hell ya! Would I do it over: for sure!

Top destination and top crew! The best introduction to a liveaboard we could have wished for.
From start to finish, everything was fantastic. It was our first liveaboard, and immediately a great experience thanks to the crew of the Amalia. The dives are hugely varied, the coral overwhelmingly beautiful, the captain knew how to take us everywhere. The highlight was Manta Alley, South Komodo, which wasn't even on the program. The international group was also fun. The mutual atmosphere is very good, it is a well-oiled collaboration. For me, extra lugging had to be done due to health reasons, without asking for anything, that was done. They saw that for themselves and just went and did it. Under water, despite the strong currents, we have always felt safe because of Rian, the person in charge of diving and the liveaboard, and our instructor. For us it was the first time we hung on hooks. We can recommend it to every diver: go diving in Komodo National Park and do so with Uber Scuba Amalia Liveaboard. They provide an unforgettable experience in this overwhelmingly beautiful park.

Amazing dives on an amazing boat
Had the pleasure of doing south, central and north of Komodo om a 5 days/4 nights liveaboard with Amalia and Uber Scuba. The diving was amazing, with Manta alley, Manta point, Cauldron and some really fun driftdiving as the highlights. There are not too many cabins, but we were lucky and met some good people and had a great time! The rooms were without AC and a bit hot, but we could also sleep on deck where the wind was blowing. Very nice! The trekkings were also really nice. Overall a super liveaboard! Would go again!

It was a wonderful time with the crew and the other guests. It was a great experience overall.
My personal highlight was seeing the Manta Rays. I thought it was nice to have visited two islands and a beach in addition to the diving. A perfect mix.

My friends and I just completed a three-day liveaboard trip on the Amalia.Everything was perfect. The attentive crew provided excellent service and always made us feel safe in the water. The boat was comfortable, and the food was of very high quality. We had no complaints, and the marine life we saw was spectacular. If I could give it 10 stars, I would! One thing is for sure: if I ever do another liveaboard trip in Komodo, I'll go back to the Amalia.
