The Amalia Komodo is a 29-meter/95-feet-long phinisi liveaboard taking 11 guests on diving safaris in Komodo, Indonesia. There are 5 cabins on board: 2 double en-suite, 2 twin bunk rooms, and 1 family cabin. The twin and family cabins share a bathroom. The cabins boast natural ventilation and a fresh nautical theme with ample storage space. The sun deck is on the upper deck and is complete with sunbeds that offer a sunbathing opportunity in the daytime and a stargazing experience at night. Freshly squeezed juice, hot ginger tea, and ice-cold water are always available on board.

The liveaboard's schedule offers North and South options, depending on the season, with 11 dives (including a night dive) and trekking opportunities to see Komodo Dragons, Pink Beach, and Padar Hike. Experience the thrill of diving at Crystal Rock and watching schools of Grey Sharks on the prowl. Trek across Rinca to look for Komodo Dragons. Really made us all feel at home and we had a lot of fun with them. Delicious Vegan Food! We were a little skeptical because people often don't understand veganism but they were fully prepared and chefed up great food throughout the trip..

We spent 6 perfect days on board of the Amalia Liveaboard by Uber Scuba. Highlights: - Rockstar dive guides (Venand, Antonio and Zara) and amazing itinerary. The team has tons of experience and brought great vibes the whole week. The itinerary was great, the dives comfortable and catered to the experience of the group. - Overall seamless organisation and amazing food (shout out to the chef!): from dry towels ready on the diving deck when back from the dives, to tasty snacks and meals (incl. great options for vegetarians and other dietary requirements), the crew worked around the clock to guarantee everyone a relaxing and seamless experience. - Lovely crew = amazing vibes! Starting from the super sweet Captain, the whole crew was incredibly friendly and this made the experience even more special. Oh and how to forget the incredible marine life we saw: mantas, turtles, cuttle fish, sharks and overall the most vibrant and colourful reef I've seen... difficult to ask for more!

This boat is amazing. It was owr first liveaboard and they havv e set a very high bar for the next. The staff was amazing, super friendly and nice. They were super attentive. The prepared all equipment, always kept us fed (and food was amazing and plentiful), and took care of everything.

Diving was amazing, boat staff and dive guide perfect(couldn’t be better). Food was also very delicious. The boat itself wasn’t super luxurious but was kept clean and more than enough. Overall it was a great experience, and I wouldn’t choose any other boat if I had to go again.

Really good!
I had a really good experience on the Amalia! The diving was unbelievable and the guides really knowledgeable providing really thorough briefing. All the crew onboard is very friendly and always happy to help. Cabin and bathroom are a bit small but the rest of the boat is very comfortable.

I just wrapped up an incredible diving experience in Komodo, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. My journey started aboard the Amalia Liveaboard, which completely exceeded expectations. From the very beginning, the entire crew made safety feel like a top priority without ever taking away from the fun. Every dive was well-briefed, organized, and relaxed—exactly what you want when exploring world-class sites. A huge thank you to Zara, Venand, Antonio, and the whole crew for creating such a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Their passion for diving really shows, and it made every moment—above and below the water—even more special. let’s talk about the food… absolutely delicious. After long dives, coming back to amazing meals was just the cherry on top of an already perfect experience. The diving was fantastic. Incredible sites, vibrant marine life, and a great group of divers to share it all with. I loved it so much that I booked two more days with Uber Scuba after coming back from the Liveaboard. That probably says it all. If you’re considering diving in Komodo—do it. And if you get the chance to go aboard Amalia, don’t think twice.

Exceeded my expectations!!
TLDR: 24yo female solo traveler, 4D3N Liveaboard, amazing staff and beautiful dives!! I went on the 4 day/ 3 night Amalia Liveaboard towards the end of June 2024 and was so glad I did. Everyone at Uber Scuba made my experience so easy, I had nothing to worry about, my sole job was to enjoy myself! The boat is beautiful and the entire staff/ crew is so warm and welcoming. It’s clear that our dive masters (Rian, France, and Venan) were not there simply because it was their “job,” rather, it’s their passion and they love making others fall in love with the ocean as much as they are. Chef Yansen serves us fresh food after every dive. Captain Hassan always greeted us and hung out with us during down time. We would sing songs on the guitar with other crew members. Aside from the incredible diving, the Liveaboard was a beautiful experience because of all the people at Uber Scuba that create such a fun and loving environment. As a solo traveler, I felt like I had a temporary family and I appreciated that a lot :) Diving wise, I always felt ready, safe, and prepared with the equipment and briefings before each dive. The biodiversity was STUNNING. Both macro and micro. Sharks, turtles, nudis, shrimp, octopus… but as my friend Ben said, “the ‘normal’ little fish can be just as beautiful and amazing as everything else.” While you can easily just do day trips for diving, the Liveaboard was nice because it takes away most of the travel time and you can be the only group or the first group at what would normally be a busy dive site. I feel so lucky to have this experience, thank you Uber Scuba, you guys are the best 🫶🏼

Our trip on the sailboat Amalia was beyond our expectations. The whole crew is very caring, the diving instructors make you feel comfortable and confident. Mantamania on Amalia
This was an increbible dive trip. As it is low season we were mostly the only boat at the dive sites. We hat 11 dives and saw manta rays on several of them. All sites were at least very good tropical diving, some just over the top. The cruise director Rian is very knowledgable about the sites, and both professional and a nice personality. The whole crew is very friendly and does everything to make it an enjoyable trip. Food is freshly cooked and offers a good variety. Highly recommended!

Experience of a lifetime!
My husband and I had an amazing experience aboard the Amalia Komodo!!! It exceeded all our expectations. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the crew provided outstanding service. They always went above and beyond. For my husband's birthday on the boat, the crew baked a homemade cake and organized the sweetest celebration. Oh yes, and the diving was incredible!!!!!!! We both started the trip with less than 20 dives and had just gotten our advanced open water certs. This trip took our diving skills and confidence to the next level. We saw things we never thought we'd see while having fun and feeling safe. Komodo diving is just world class! If you've ever considered a liveaboard, we couldn't more highly recommend Uber Scuba and the Amalia Komodo.

Amazing dive sites with good food and friendly staff
The dive sites in Komodo are other worldly. Amazing coral and of course the currents and mantas made for an unforgettable experience. The staff made the whole trip extra special. They were all equally kind and caring. My dive guide France was an amazing macro spotter and all the other dive guides were informative. The chef always came up with delicious meals/snacks and drinks. The rental equipment felt safe and new. The rooms had comfortable bedding and enough ventilation. But it can sometimes get hot and we slept on the deck which was an experience of itself. All in all it was an unforgettable experience elevated by the food and friendly staff. Just know that the rooms are not air conditioned and sometimes can get hot for which the solution is to sleep on the deck along with the stars and a cool breeze.

The entire crew of the Amalia was just great. The people are very competent, well trained and friendly. Everyone was anxious to give you an unforgettable time.We were kept in small groups, which was great as the dive guides had plenty of time for everyone. We had brilliant day trips and beautiful sunsets.The dive sites have been selected very thoroughly and according to the times of day. The food was probably the best we had in our whole Indonesia vacation.We miss you already and will certainly come back.Smile Bro!!!

Wonderful experience.
I had a wonderful live aboard experience. Fantastic guides and crew. This was an affordable liveaboard but the service felt lux! They operate a well oiled machine. Staff were warm and welcoming, professional and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great dive experience, such as getting us to dive sites before other boats arrived and choosing the best locations based on the conditions. They made sure we felt prepared to dive in the currents. The food was wonderful and really, everything was perfect.

We had the chance to explore some extraordinary dive sites and encounter an incredible variety of marine life. The dive guides were exceptional: highly experienced, knowledgeable, and extremely attentive to safety. They led every dive with great skill, making each underwater experience even more enjoyable and allowing us to discover so much of the amazing marine life that Komodo has to offer. Another pleasant surprise was the food. Every meal was prepared with great care, and the quality and variety of the dishes were far beyond what I expected on a diving boat. It was a real pleasure to sit down for every meal after a day of diving. Finally, the group I shared this adventure with made the experience even more special. We quickly became a great group, sharing plenty of laughs, unforgettable moments, and a lot of fun both on and off the boat. Overall, this was a truly memorable experience, combining world-class diving, a fantastic crew, excellent food, and an amazing group of people. I would happily do it all over again!

Awesome experience!!

Amazing dives on an amazing boat
Had the pleasure of doing south, central and north of Komodo om a 5 days/4 nights liveaboard with Amalia and Uber Scuba. The diving was amazing, with Manta alley, Manta point, Cauldron and some really fun driftdiving as the highlights. There are not too many cabins, but we were lucky and met some good people and had a great time! The rooms were without AC and a bit hot, but we could also sleep on deck where the wind was blowing. Very nice! The trekkings were also really nice. Overall a super liveaboard! Would go again!

My friends and I just completed a three-day liveaboard trip on the Amalia.Everything was perfect. The attentive crew provided excellent service and always made us feel safe in the water. The boat was comfortable, and the food was of very high quality. We had no complaints, and the marine life we saw was spectacular. If I could give it 10 stars, I would! One thing is for sure: if I ever do another liveaboard trip in Komodo, I'll go back to the Amalia.
