Best Ever

Great Trip August, 2023 Best of the Maldives Absolute best crew I have experienced in 40 years diving. Wonderful boat. Marlin suite. Great food. Accompanied by my non-diver girlfriend and she had a blast.

Best overall live aboard.

Certainly the biggest and most luxurious live aboard I have ever been (and I have been on 13 live aboards). Best selection of food for all 3 meals— even lobster was available for an extra cost. My vegetarian partner has no problems filling her plates. Rather expensive spa treatments, but the facilities and services were second to none. Diving dhoni was well equipped— loaned me a BC when my SSI octopus free flowed. Full selection of O-rings when my high pressure o-ring failed. Compressors on dhoni so the same tank was refilled for each dive. Had a 100 cu ft tank for me. Nitrox was $105 for the whole week— for the dive package price, this really should be included. Competent dive masters from what I could see. Just be aware that there are at times ripping current on the kandu (channel) dives. Reef hook used on some dives. Didn’t see a whale shark, but one dive group saw one. No mantas, but plenty of eagle rays and mobula rays. Night dive was a madness of nurse sharks and stingrays. Coral average (I have dived Raja Ampat twice) in my opinion with no large areas of bleaching seen. Some areas have nice plate corals, sea fans and there were lots of small fish underneath overhangs. Visibility was less than average— about 50 to 75 feet. My dolphin room was quite large for a live aboard and bathroom was fine. Good laundry service. Snorkeling apparently average as visibility wasn’t the best. Overall the friendliest staff with a smile always.
