The Discovery I liveaboard offers year-round Red Sea dive safaris. She was built with divers' needs in mind and has 10 double and twin cabins comfortably accommodating up to 20 guests onboard. There are 6 twin cabins on the lower deck and 4 double or twin cabins on the upper deck, all featuring air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms, and storage space. The main indoor salon and dining room, located on the main deck, are modern and bright, with comfortable seating for all guests. On the upper deck is a bar and outdoor lounge, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze and a drink at the end of the day, and a spacious sundeck with mattresses for sunbathing or relaxing in between dives.

The Discovery I liveaboard offers a variety of 7-night itineraries that allow divers to explore some of the best dive sites in the Red Sea, including the Deep South and Elphinstone route and the Northern Red Sea, Wrecks, and Ras Mohammed. A spacious dive deck and swim platform are located at the back of the boat, with ample space for gearing up. Two tenders are on hand for easy drop off and pick up at the dive sites. Nitrox is also available for those certified.

What an amazing trip!
The overall experience was incredible. The boat, the food, the crew, the guides, and of course the dives. Everything was organized flawlessly and efficiently, and I didn’t believe we would be able to see oceanic whitetips, hammerheads, and silky sharks all in this one trip. Actually, everything was perfect. An international diving group that has grown together quite a bit in the one week. The food was great, varied and the crew very helpful.A cake was conjured up for someone on board for their birthday on the last day.Only in the port of Hurghada there is no shore power for the boats, so the ship's engines ran all night on many other boats. Excellent Dive Trip … a lovely group of people
We were so pleased to go back to the Northern dive sights … we were divers there in 1989! So lots of changes . The weather was windy and challenging at times but the crew were excellent and the itinerary changed to where it was safe to dive Very lucky to see White tip sharks , dolphins and the highlight a huge Whale Shark at Ras Mohammad ! A real bonus

Getting to the remote locations was exceptional and a great way to experience the Red Sea. The whole crew was fun and friendly, while still maintaining a professional and safe demeanor. Our dive guides were AMAZING! Knowledgeable with a great eye for spotting critters. They also split our group into two with similar diving experiences, so everyone felt comfortable and with the right level of guidance.

Amazing week on the Red Sea
We booked this trip never having been to the Red Sea before based on the value, itinerary, and the dates. We got on the boat in Hurghada and went north (also Brothers). From the second we boarded the boat, we felt welcomed by the crew. Our cabin was well appointed- we had 2 single beds and a private shower/toilet. There were closet/shelves to store our clothing and gear and the A/C worked very well. They had warm blankets on the beds to keep warm at night when chilly. The only thing I would say was that a mat outside the shower/toilet room door would have been nice since I was slippery with wet feet- we used and extra towel and that worked perfectly. The dive deck was set up perfectly- our wetsuits would hang up between dives, there was a crate for the rest of our gear so nothing got lost. I have a medium sized UW camera setup and though there was no designated place for it on the dive deck, the crew always made sure it was in a safe place. The crew was SO helpful and attentive- helping me get my wetsuits zipped up, to helping me get my gear on, to putting my fins on, and then helping me after the dive, it was great. The dive guides were amazing and the dive briefings were very helpful. I felt very safe in the water, even on the unguided dives. We had 19 dives including 3 night dives, a drift dive, several wreck dives, and tons of wall dives. Last but not least, the food and service. It was superb. The food was top notch (I highly recommend crepes and Nutella at breakfast) and there was always something for everyone. My travel buddy had her birthday the week were out on the Red Sea and they decorated and made a cake for her- truly special. I will warn coffee drinkers that all we had was NesCafe but it wasn’t the worst and it made a real cup of coffee when we were back on dry land that much better. I would hands down return to the Amelia Discovery again- in fact I cannot wait to go back and enjoy another week on the boat with an amazing crew!

This is one in a lifetime trip with great Dive Lead
The underwater was great but the staff, headed by Peter the dive Lead, was superb and could feel their passion for the job they do. Food was delicious, the chef and Ruby were super accommodating to requests and they help you in everything, making the dive experience safe and unforgettable (and on the boat too). I was one of the least experienced but I felt all the time taken care of, and I managed to enjoy a lot my first dives inside a wreck. Peter was also spooting all sort of creatures, octopus, moray eel, white tip shark, etc.. even a giant whale shark ! I'm looking forward to repeat it in the south area.

My OWA on board was amazing!
Wonderful week on Discovery 1, unforgettable experience! Big thank you to the cooking crew who worked magic in the kitchen all week ,they even surprised us with a birthday cake seemingly out of nowhere! Rubi who was always present, quietly making sure everything ran smoothly on board. The seamen were incredibly attentive and always ready to help with equipment and getting back on the boat. The dive guides Mohammed and Peter kept an eye on everything both the group and the marine life around us. As a beginner doing the Advanced Open Water course, I felt really comfortable. The conditions (currents, visibility, etc.) were ideal and helped a lot. The group on board came from over 10 different countries, and the atmosphere was simply amazing. I only wished I could stay longer!

Fantastic experience!!
Very nice experience, great dives made at very beautiful locations, nice atmosphere on board, very friendly and helpful, the food and drinks were delicious and very diverse. Would recommend to anyone. The only downside are the hard beds, but that certainly didn't spoil the fun.
