Highlights
The 33m La Galigo liveaboard in Indonesia is a traditional two-mast Phinisi sailing boat built in 2012. It was designed by an avid diver and built by traditional Sulawesi craftsmen with scuba diving in mind. The La Galigo has 7 en-suite cabins with privately controlled air-conditioning accommodating 14 guests. The suite cabin has a private balcony and a TV. The living and dining area has a large TV, a well-stocked bookcase, and many power sockets for charging laptops, cameras, and video equipment. Guests can soak up some sun on a lounge, relax in the shade, or read a book in the rooftop dining and relaxing area. An isolated engine room makes the motor and generator noises very low. Tasty meals are provided throughout the day. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available. For relaxation, there are also outdoor common areas where guests can lounge in reclining chairs, enjoying the ocean breeze. Guests of the liveaboard frequently rate the La Galigo as the best crew experience. Fun and safety are the hallmarks of La Galigo Liveaboard.
La Galigo has a dedicated diving platform at the rear of the boat and a side ladder for loading. There are also two dive tenders, one 6m and one 9m available. The itinerary includes trekking on all different itineraries to places such as the outlook of Penemu and cruising through the limestone formations of Wayag Lagoon and viewpoint. When scuba diving in Raja Ampat, sharks are everywhere under the reefs. The itinerary includes trekking the outlook of Bintang Lagoon and cruising through the limestone formations of Mt. Pindito. Scuba diving in Raja Ampat, where sharks can be found under the reefs. There are some great dive sites around Gam Island with vibrant fish-covered reefs and plenty of macro subjects. Fabulous all around! Highly recommend this team and company!
We had a phenomenal week with La Galigo in Komodo National Park. The entire tour was well organized from start to finish. The diving and sea life was spectacular! Very rich marine life, both pelagics and micro. Thrilling drifts and busy muck dives as well, full of creatures! Our guides were attentive and the groups are small, max 1:4. The sites were not too busy, in general. The dive briefings onboard this operation are next level artistry! The site topography maps are something you could hang on the wall - maybe a future merch idea! Rental gear was in good condition, and our personal gear was well cared for. The food onboard was delicious, plentiful and with lots of variety each day. There was one vegetarian onboard our trip and there were always lots of options for everyone. The boat itself was stunning. Beautiful interior, lots of space to spread out and lounge comfortably between dives, whether you want sun, shade or to be indoors. Our cabin was spacious, as was our bathroom. Hot showers with strong water pressure and reef safe shampoo/conditioner/body wash was provided! Land excursions were fabulous. We did a beautiful sunset hike, as well as a visit to see the Komodo dragons on Rinca. Rinca has good infrastructure, is clean and well maintained, and we had a very educational guided tour with many free roaming wild Komodo dragons who seemed peaceful, and well protected from tourists by the rangers. Last but definitely not least, the staff onboard our trip were absolutely fabulous. You couldn’t ask for better people. Everyone was happy to help in any way they could, they all seemed to be in a great mood every minute of the day, and truly seemed to enjoy our and each other’s company. Our cruise director, Jaka, was competent, confident and knowledgeable. He did an excellent job making sure everyone was informed all the way through, and that everyone’s whims, wants and needs were taken care of immediately! Highly recommend this company if you are going to Indonesia to dive!

Had a great trip. The alternation between beautiful dives and cool trips made it perfect. Even though there were some unforeseen problems, the crew did everything they could to solve it as soon as possible. Everything happened with a smile! You literally didn't have to think about anything: everything was taken care of. The food was also very tasty and varied. The trip costs a bit, but is totally worth it.

La Galigo diving and team deliver!
Great diving, excellent staff & crew, comfortable bed, below deck cabins bigger than most boats, nice indoor common/dining area, good (and plentiful) food. Rear dive deck is much better than most area boats with side deck tender access. Dive prep area is big enough. Shaded area w beanbags and padded benches for about half the guests. Boat could use top deck shade area. Nice shore excursions.

- Raja Ampat diving is world class and rear dive deck & two tenders made access easy.. Cruise director, staff and dive crew went above and beyond, best liveaboard service I have had!. Shore excursions were interesting and varied - jelly fish lake a highlight!.

A memorable liveaboard on a fabulous boat with the best crew.
This liveaboard was defintely my favourite for the quality and luxury of the boat and the cabin which was cleaned every day. The friendliness and helpfulness of the crew, and the cruise director was very knowledgeable and helpful and the dive guides really knew what they were looking at and where to find it. It was easy to dive as all of your equipment is stored in one place and the crew help to gear up and clean everything after. The food was varied and tasty and there was plenty! Loved it and would definitely recommend this liveaboard.
