Barefoot luxury is the theme behind Mikumba Dua (of lost paradise charters) liveaboard Indonesia, having undergone an extensive renovation giving a contemporary twist to this traditional wooden boutique style phinisi. There are 2 Master cabins on the upper deck, both en-suite and with their own private balcony, with a further 3 double/twin cabins on the lower deck sharing 2 bathrooms. Amazing Komodo Trip!!
Wonderful 5 day trip around central and northern Komodo!! My guide was Adi and he was great - always communicating the dive sites and what to expect!! Everything was 10/10 and 5 stars. Defn recommend!!!

Wonderful experience in Komodo
Our 5 days aboard the Mikumba Dua have been like being in paradise, the combination of diving, land excursions, good atmosphere, food and spectacular views have made it an amazing experience! We booked the Master Cabin 1 and it was a success, we could see the stars from the cabin at night and the beautiful sunrise from the bed. My birthday fell in the middle of the trip and the crew and Jeremy made sure to prepare little surprises that made the day even more special! Thank you to the whole team for this wonderful experience! We will definitely repeat in the future!

Indescribable moments
The service was absolutely top notch and the crew incredibly familiar – you immediately feel welcome. The dive sites were fantastic, and the experienced dive masters knew exactly where to find which animals. I was able to gain a lot of experience for my own diving skills and received valuable tips from the dive masters. The food on board was also delicious and rounded off the experience perfectly. Despite two rainy days, the tour was flexibly adapted and the best of it was made. The highlight for me was the dive at Manta Point – meeting the majestic giant manta rays so close was an unforgettable experience.

Mikumba is the best
The dives were amazing, the boat is really beautiful and the food is really good. The rooms all have really comfortable beds and the sundeck upstairs is really nice. Every single one of the staff has been outstanding as well, which made our staff even beter.

Absolute one of the best trips in my life
If you're reading this review then you're probably already aware that Raja Ampat is one of best dive sites in the world. And it's true - so much beautiful coral, reef sharks, turtles, mantas, dolphins and so many fish you didn't even knew they existed. Absolutely stunning. But the thing that makes a trip so special is not only the dive sites - it's the boat and the atmosphere on the boat. And I can tell you - with the owners of the boat (Damien & Jeremy) and their crew you will have a 100% guarantee of a good time. Not only will they make your trip very personalised to your own needs - you'll also have a great time hanging out with these guys! And I only realised how important that is once you're actually on a boat on the sea for 7 days... Secondly - the boat is really good value for money. The rooms are very nice and neat, there is a lot of space on the boat to relax and hang out (with people or just on your own) it looks all very new and modern and all water sports are available (diving, snorkling, paddle boarding). Then last but not least - the food. Amazing. I've had experiences in the past where you would have the same dish every day, even the same dish for lunch and dinner. But not on this boat - the chef cooks every day a new dish, there is a lot of fresh fruit available, and they also cater excellent for vegetarians. You will not get hungry on this boat! So for divers but also for non-divers, I would 100% recommend Raja Ampat but if you do it - definitely do it with the Mikumba 2. Thanks again guys for the most amazing week.
