Highlights
Barefoot luxury is the theme behind Mikumba Dua (of lost paradise charters) liveaboard Indonesia, having undergone an extensive renovation giving a contemporary twist to this traditional wooden boutique style phinisi. Mikumba Dua boasts the largest outdoor space found on any vessel in her class, spanning over 4 decks, allowing guests to indulge in alfresco dining under the stars while sipping away at their favorite drink or perhaps getting involved in some sunrise/sunset yoga or just lounging around on beanbags with a book. The main hub of the boat is the beautiful indoor salon, which also offers dining, a cinema room, a library, board games, or simply space for relaxation. There are 2 Master cabins on the upper deck, both en-suite and with their own private balcony, with a further 3 double/twin cabins on the lower deck sharing 2 bathrooms. All cabins are spacious and individually designed, embracing traditional local materials and fabrics.
Dining generally takes place on the top deck while taking in incredible vistas; our legendary local chef will provide a selection of authentic dishes prepared daily using the freshest locally sourced ingredients and cooked with dedication and love. The Ethos onboard Mikumba Dua is to seek adventure while getting you away from the crowds and giving you world-class diving and snorkeling. Visit secret beaches and lagoons and encounter breathtaking views from jungle-covered hilltops, all of which make for a truly magical experience, “the stuff of dreams.”
The enchanting and magnificent Raja Ampat, one of the last frontiers on Earth, is the ultimate tropical paradise. Commonly regarded as the most biodiverse marine ecosystem on our planet and ultimately some of the greatest diving and snorkeling in the world, as beautiful above the surface as below, it is “truly Heaven on Earth.”
The ambiance aboard Mikumba Dua reflects the feeling that guests are extended family and perfectly combines the balance of adventure and the feeling of home. Mikumba Dua is also available for private hire; the date of the charter, length of trip, locations, and activities can all be tailored to your needs.

Indescribable moments
The service was absolutely top notch and the crew incredibly familiar – you immediately feel welcome. The dive sites were fantastic, and the experienced dive masters knew exactly where to find which animals. I was able to gain a lot of experience for my own diving skills and received valuable tips from the dive masters. The food on board was also delicious and rounded off the experience perfectly. Despite two rainy days, the tour was flexibly adapted and the best of it was made. The highlight for me was the dive at Manta Point – meeting the majestic giant manta rays so close was an unforgettable experience.

Excellent diving, luxurious cabins, superb crew!
This is such a fantastic liveaboard experience, I cannot recommend it highly enough. During our 5 day dive-trip, we managed to pack in 12 incredible dives, a sunset mountain climb with cocktails at the peak, an afternoon on a deserted island beach and a trek with Komodo Dragons! That's the real advantage of live-aboard diving; you're right on top of the dive sites, so more time is spent relaxing and enjoying the trip, and less time is spent commuting and preparing the boat. As far as Mikumba 2 goes; this is a world class crew, chef, and captain. The crew work tirelessly to make sure that as a guest, you don't lift a finger. The dive tanks and kit are all prepared for you before every dive, they even put the gear on your back for you, and lift it out of the sea at the end! Honestly you could do this sport if you were 110, that's how little effort it takes with all the help they offer! The crew are a bubbly and affable bunch, always smiling and helping any way they can. Our dive instructor and guide, Fadli, was a pro; organised, switched on, safe and communicative. He also has superhuman vision and will spot things on dives few people see. The food and drink on the trip is great - a 7am light breakfast, a 10am second breakfast after the 1st dive, lunch and dinner - all done on the breezy top-deck, al fresco! Finally the boat itself is well equipped, beautifully furnished and maintained inside and out, and the cabins are spacious and luxurious. The boat was recently refurbished and restyled and the attention to detail really shows. The dive kit is also new and in good condition. Finally a shout-out to the cruise-director and boat owner, who was on-board during our trip; he a lovely guy who will go out of his way to help in any way he can, and does a great job of keeping the whole show on the road/sea! Overall, this is a trip we won't forget, and will definitely book again!

Awesome trip with amazing divesites
We did the five day trip with the mikumba dua to the komodo nationalpark. We totally loved it and can highly recommend to join the mikumba dua for the trip to komodo. The crew did always their best to let us feel comfortabel. The dive guides were very professional and we felt always safe and good briefed at all. We got always tasty and fresh food and we missed nothing. The boat and the rooms are very comfortable and invites to relax after the dives and you got plenty of things to do. Snorkling, Standuppaddle, jump of the boat and many more. All in all it was one of the best trip we ever did and we will join the mikumba dua every time again. The one and only thing we missed a little was a tasty coffee in the morning. But with the early dive you wont miss it that much ;) We hope to join you again! Mirco& Fabienne from Switzerland
