Excellent trip, would repeat!
Had such a great time on this liveaboard. The entire crew provided amazing service, always going above and beyond to be helpful and courteous. On dives, the guides were reliable and fast in spotting tinny critters doing interesting things. The food was good with plenty of variety. Overall it was super fun, and I’d definitely do it again. 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic Liveaboard
Our room was comfortable and adequate. Always warm towels to dry off after each dive. A cup of cocoa after each night dive. Endless fresh fruit available. We saw so many new sea creatures on this trip I was giddy with excitement. Various nudibranches and sea slugs, blue ringed octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, bobtail squid, manta rays, eagle ray, whale sharks, frogfish, pipefish, sea krate, moray eels etc etc

Best week ever
This trip over-delivered and was quite wonderful. Such beautiful places, with three or four dives most days, all fascinating in their way, and brilliantly led by the dive masters. The cruise director was brilliant, looking after the less experienced divers, and kept the atmosphere fun and light while imparting a lot of information. Food was good, lots of variety and catered to all tastes, with an amazing four meals a day. As a snorkeller I was really well looked after, as was all our kit. The trip delivered on three big bucket list items in a spectacular way.

A delightful trip of a life time.
The Mermaid 2 and her crew were an absolute delight. From delicious and plentiful food to comfortable cabins to an amazing massage, I felt well taken care of and pampered the whole time. The dive sites were great - from giant whale sharks and dancing mantas to adorable cuddle fish, bobtail squid, and baby octopus, we were treated to some seriously epic diving. The staff was warm and funny and made the trip very enjoyable. Our guide Bram was amazing, finding and pointing out a ton of cool tiny things. Luca kept us laughing (and guessing, his joking sarcasm rivals my own) and well informed. Desi may be the star though; incredibly sweet, attentive, warm, and she gives really amazing massages. No trip is perfect and there were a few hiccups, mostly of my own making (I leaned an important lesson about slowing down and double checking gear after flooding my camera), but this trip was pretty close. Not only that but all the other passengers were delightful! Swiss, German, English, American, Canadian, Belgian...a nice international mix of really great humans. Be careful playing Monopoly with Bob though, he looks innocent but he's really a shark!

Exceptional liveaboard experience.
First and formost, the diving was simply exceptional throughout the trip. The corals in Raja Ampat are pristine and varied and the colours amazing. The fish life was superb with great variety and plentiful schools ... some great manta dives also! Dive staff were very friendly and professional, and added to the whole experience. Boat crew were fantastic also and overall was an exceptional liveaboard.

Great healthy reefs, wonderful nightdives, Dragons, Mantas, Sharks, Whalesharks & lots of smaller interesting creatures alongside a big variety of underwater sceneries.

Phenomenal boat, crew, and diving!
We had an incredible experience diving with Mermaid II in Raja Ampat. Luca was a wonderful cruise director, Agus was a phenomenal guide, and the entire crew was very friendly and professional. We completed all 29 dives and they were all special in different ways. So much life out there! The boat was very well-kept and the meals were delicious (vegan options, too!). Everyone on the trip had a lovely time and we will definitely keep Mermaid in mind for future visits to Indonesia. Thank you guys so much!

Best Liveaboard Crew
We truly enjoyed our liveaboard experience with Mermaid 2. The whole crew from dive guides to cook were very friendly and helped us to enjoy every moment of it. Diving sites were great and the guides were familiar with the sites which helped us to what to expect in each site. Food was delicious with a good variety of cuisines and it was inclusive of everyone who follow certain diets.
