The Ghazala Explorer liveaboard in Egypt is a modern 37mtr/121ft motor yacht offering itineraries throughout the Red Sea area. It can take up to 24 guests in 12 air-conditioned, ensuite cabins, consisting of 9 twin bed and 3 double bed cabins, including suites. Ghazala Explorer has a spacious, bright indoor dining and lounge area for guests to enjoy prepared meals or relax with a drink. There is a sun deck with seating areas, bean bags, and either covered or open areas for those who prefer to be in the sunshine. A large dive deck to the rear allows storage of dive equipment and plenty of space to get ready for dives, and the rear platform makes getting on and off the tenders more accessible.

I look back on a fantastic week.
My 15th liveaboard and by far the best. The welcome was warm, the crew is extremely helpful and friendly. The dives are well briefed and supervised. Those who wanted to could dive unaccompanied. Always felt safe. Even though I had done this tour 4 times, they still showed other reefs. The boat was quite comfortable and neat. It is also nice that there are plenty of sunbeds in the sun so that you can warm up between dives now that it was a bit colder season. Wide range of decent towels and bathrobe when you get out of the water and stand in the wind. After the dive, the crew was ready to help you take off your wetsuit, they rinsed it for you and hung it up which is nice when you are shivering from the cold. The food was tasty and varied. There was also always a fruit basket that was replenished daily. A big plus was the coffee machine with delicious coffee that is included. That also brings me to the fact that there are no hidden costs.

From start to finish - Top
First of all - what can be done better? - To book two weeks on the ship. It was a great experience from start to finish. The pick up from the airport worked perfectly. On the ship I was warmly welcomed. The ship is great. The crew was always helpful and nothing was left to be desired. The food was delicious. The dive guides were all very knowledgeable and you felt very safe, even at unfamiliar dive sites. In summary, it was a very great trip and I am looking forward to the next one with Ghazala Explorer next year. Out of 100 points, I give the team, the ship and the dive guides 150 points. Thank you very much for everything and see you next time!Alexander

Excellent livaboard
All the dives sites were fantastic, the crew were amazing and the food was delicious. The cabin was very comfortable. Overall, an amazing week diving in the red sea. Highlights during diving were the hammerheads, silky sharks and manta rays. Some of the other divers saw oceanic white tips. The crew went above and beyond to make this trip amazing. Thank you to Mousa, Moustafa, Reda, Abou El Hassan, Ashraf, Sambo , Eid, Ibrahim, Hassan, Omda (ya basha!), Mohamed, Islam, Mahdy and anyone else I have missed.

Top rated for a reason
Had a great experience from the minute I booked the trip. Beforehand, Alex was helpful in setting up transportation to Aswan at the end of my trip. Pickup from Hurghada was friendly and set the tone of great service for the entire week. Once aboard, the crew was great at communicating everything coming up and was very accommodating, constantly making sure that everything was ok and I didn't need anything. The entire week of diving was fun, safe, and relaxing. Everything was great and I would definitely do this trip again (although maybe a different itinerary to dive somewhere new).
