“Best place in the world to see and connect with giant mantas and spot countless sharks!”
Highlights
Custom-built for divers, the Nautilus Belle Amie ship is the largest of the Nautilus Liveaboards’ fleet. With amenities akin to a floating boutique hotel, and a reputation for offering high-level service on board, the Nautilus Belle Amie accommodates 32 guests in 17 en-suite staterooms and suites. On the lower deck are 8 twin staterooms plus one affordable triple occupancy stateroom. The main deck has 2 premium suites, and 6 superior suites are on the wheelhouse deck. Bedding in the suites can be converted to twins or doubles. All rooms also feature individually controlled air-conditioning.
On the main deck is a large salon and dining area, where a fusion of Mexican and West Coast North American food is served. All dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, food allergy options, and quasi-kosher, can be catered to with prior notice. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are buffet-style, and the evening meal is served plated buffet or family-style. There are two fully-stocked extensive bars on board, which include single malts, microbrews, and a large selection of wine. The large sun deck has space for everyone to enjoy lounging in the sun and a hot tub to warm up in-between dives or enjoy after diving with a drink and snack.
The heavy steel construction with stabilization of the Nautilus Belle Amie liveaboard means she was perfectly designed for ocean crossings to get divers to the world-class dive sites of the Socorro Islands or over to Guadalupe for up-close encounters with great white sharks. From November - June, the Socorro Islands are open to offering some of the best diving in the world. Friendly mantas, dolphins, humpback whales, pilot whales, and up to 10 species of shark are just some of the marine encounters the Socorro Islands offer. Or for those who want to get up close with great white sharks, the Guadalupe season offers from July - November each year. The large dive deck, onboard nitrox, and 3 large dive skiffs ensure an easy diving experience.

Best liveaboard I've experienced.
I have been on eleven liveaboards and I think this might have been my favorite. I was taken aback when I realized there were 32 divers (normally there are 16-18 divers), but the crew was exceptionally organized and it was fun to meet so many other divers. As far as congeniality, this group of divers as exceptional. No cliques, no separate groups, we were all together all the time. The boat is very well maintained and very comfortable. There was some drama with one of dive masters being rude and inappropriate at times, but the captain handled it masterfully. The food was very good and the service staff in the dining room and bar were beyond fabulous. It is not super easy diving given the cold and currents, but it is well worth the struggle to commune with giant mantas. Sharks galore.

My best livaboard trip
This was the best livaboard experience I have ever had. My only downside was the size of the triple cabin though I knew I was getting the most value price so it was to be expected. The diving was remarkable. Mantas on every dive but one, schools of hammerheads, sharks everywhere and even good macro life on some dives. This is a bucket list dive and it did not disappoint.

Amazing dive vacation on the Belle Amie
Diving Socorro on the Belle Amie did not disappoint. We saw schooling scalloped hammerheads, giant oceanic mantas, dolphins, and many other shark species. The weather was perfect and the crew went above and beyond to make this dive trip unforgettable.

Trip of a lifetime to see giant mantas!
A trip of a lifetime. Just an incredible experience. The boat was clean and very well kept. The crew was awesome. Ramon, the captain, was extremely involved and a great guy! All of the dive guides (you rotate between them every day) knew the dive sites very well and were great people. The hosts were awesome, especially Marlene with her always enthusiastic personality, were always looking to help you with every single task and waiting with drinks after each dives. The wildlife was of course always jaw dropping. We saw multiple mantas on pretty much every dive, “dancing” and “playing” with us. I will be back!

Sea Lions, Whale Sharks, and Fin Whales, oh my!
When we arrived, the crew made us feel immediately welcome. My daughter can't say enough nice things about Beto and his crew. Most days, we were offered more dives than we felt physically able to do. We snorkeled with sea lions when we weren't up for diving... and were exhausted by bedtime. This particular trip had a hiccup of needing to return to Cabo at the end, which I think is why we had a day with no dives towards the end (but not on the last day) of the trip. This was the lone awkward moment; trying to get gear dry after diving the day before you disembark at 0830 was awkward. But that doesn't take away from the amazing trip! Our highlights were getting to see Fin whales and whale sharks. My daughter also loved the hammerhead sharks--all of these were firsts for her. We considered the trip a success after the first dive, though, just from the interactions with sea lions. Diving amidst the sea lion colony was extraordinary.

- Crew were amazing--every one of them seemed to know our name from the first day, and made us feel welcome on their ship. Sea Lions! The sea lions were easily the stars of the trip. It made it easy to get in the water when my ears or my buddies sinuses weren't up to diving... Snorkeling with the sea lions was amazing!. Whale Sharks--it was an adventure just trying to get into the water with them, but it was a bucket list item for me and my daughter.

Will certainly come back on this trip.
The different dive sites the captain selected while trying to avoid the inclement weather were great. The crew led us to have great diving experience. We got to see hammerheads, interact with playful swallows, witness tens of dolphins racing our boats, and all those different moments happened around astounding geological formations and beautiful scenery all along. One cannot wish for better diving experience.

Majestic Manta Experience
Close encounters with Mantas. I wish we would have seen Hammerheads as close as advertised. Also the travel was described as “overnight” in both directions. It was 34 hours.

Fantastic boat and crew
Crew was exceptional, and many guests who had been on multiple liveaboards had said this was the best crew they've encountered. Special shout-out to Juan David, one of the dive guides. Mantas, sharks, and dolphins were amazing!
