Liveaboard Diving in Abu Dabab
Located in the Southern area of the Red Sea, Egypt, close to Marsa Alam, Abu Dabab has long been known by divers on liveaboard trips to this area. frequently a stop on dive safari itineraries operating in the South.
What You Can See
Abu Dabab is actually 6 reef systems that can be explored by divers. From a small wreck that sunk in 2004 to colourful coral reefs and an underwater cave system, this area can offer divers a great variety of things to see. It's even known for Pods of dolphins to frequent the area. Other marine life that is found around the Abu Dabab reefs are blue spotted stingrays, Napoleon wrasse, giant puffer, sweetlips, box fish, nudibranchs and more.
Getting To Abu Dabab
To get to Abu Dabab reefs the best option is by dive liveaboard. Most liveaboards operating in this area will depart from either Port Ghalib (Marsa Ghalib) or Hurghada. Both of these ports have international airports with direct flights from many European countries as well as domestic flights from Cairo.
