Highlights
Grand Discovery is a 45-meter liveaboard (launched December 2025) offering accommodation for up to 36 guests across 24 cabins. This includes 18 air-conditioned twin cabins with en-suite bathrooms, as well as 4 elegant master suites on the high deck—2 of which are equipped with a minibar.
The Grand Discovery features a salon divided into a lounge with plush sofas and a fully stocked bar, and a separate dining space where guests enjoy buffet-style meals. The cuisine onboard blends international and regional flavors, served in a friendly, social setting ideal for divers unwinding after an adventure-filled day. Additional relaxation areas include two shaded sundecks—one with a bar—and a skydeck with a Jacuzzi offering sweeping views. A large TV, music system, and a small library provide entertainment between dives.
Itineraries aboard the Grand Discovery explore Egypt’s iconic dive regions: Northern Wrecks, Ras Mohamed, Tiran, Brothers, Daedalus, Elphinstone, Zabargad, and St. John’s. These trips feature legendary sites like the SS Thistlegorm, Giannis D, SS Carnatic, and the reef-draped walls of Daedalus and Big Brother, home to sharks, gorgonians, and historic wrecks. The boat was amazing, the crew was super friendly and the diving was great. We didn't have to think about a thing for a week, just focus on diving and then relaxing, eating, sleeping on the boat. Beautiful divesites and itinerary.

Very good diving with a professional and friendly crew.
The service was top quality the whole time. The itinerary had to be changed due to a wind storm, but this is understandable (and desirable) because the captain and crew will always prioritize the safety of the passengers. The alternative itinerary was still enjoyable. The instructors were always present and coordinated every dive with great detail. I was hoping to see more sharks/pelagic in this itinerary, but this depends mostly on luck and the guides did their best to take us to the interesting locations. Food was not "mind blowing" (as I have experienced in other liveaboards) but the buffet was very abundant and varied so I can't really complain about it. The only coffee included is the "instant" kind, I would love to see brewed coffee as included. Dinner on the last night and breakfast on the last morning were included, this is a huge plus point when compared to other liveaboard operators who don't offer this. The ship is luxurious though I noticed the electricity shutting down a couple of times per day, this would last less than a minute so I guess it is not a big deal. The cabins are clean and comfortable. The crew was assisting me up until the moment I got on the (included) transportation to the airport. I recommend the experience and I would dive again with Discovery without thinking twice.

Beautiful, modern & spacious boat with good crew and catering.
Had a wonderful week on board the grand discovery. Very nice, spacious and new boat. The crew was fantastic and everything was well arranged with good food. The only downside were the very large diving groups (10 people per guide).

Beautiful surroundings, fabulous boat
The crew on board are so fantastic! Genuinely kind, funny, helpful, fun. From the cooks and mechanics to the team that helped me get fins on 3x day. The food is great, my cabin was fabulous with an amazing window. I do think this should be a minimum 30 dives trip, not 10. And heads up they don’t provide shampoo or anything so bring all your own toiletries!

Great first live aboard experience
The dive guides and experience was way better than I was expecting. Although we did not see any sharks, the diving experience was great and well planned. Im not sure how long the boat will last since it seems to have several issues for being new, but everything was addressed by the crew.

An incredible experience. Would highly recommend Grand Discovery!
The entire liveaboard experience was phenomenal. From the arrival to the airport waiting for pickup until the check-out after the liveaboard, everything was arranged to perfection. The crew was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the tour and were able to answer any questions and went above and beyond to accommodate any request. The route was perfect for the time of year as it wasn't quite the season for larger wildlife yet, for which all the wrecks (highlight: Thistlegorm!) made up for plenty. The rental gear was in top shape and looked well-maintained. The boat was brand new and very comfortable. The cabin was super nice as well. The food was incredible too: varied, fresh, and delicious throughout the week, compliments to the chefs on board!

Great experience
Overall great experience. This was my first liveaboard and I could have not asked for more. Decided to do my AOWD as well which I did not regret at all. Dive guides, Malaak, Khaled and Ramadan did a great job, as well as the rest of the crew. Will Dede do a Discovery divers trip again in the next months.

A fantastic week on the Red Sea
I did my liveaboard on the Grand Discovery in Hurghada and it was a wonderful experience overall.I would like to highlight my private dive guide Ramadan. It is absolutely recommended. His calm, patient and caring manner did me a lot of good. Especially when I was struggling with seasickness, he took care of me attentively and sensitively. I felt safe and well looked after at all times.The dive sites were all incredibly beautiful, every single dive had something special to offer and there was always a lot to see. The underwater world was impressive and varied.The entire crew was also always friendly, helpful and motivated. You could tell that everyone was passionate about their job. The food was top notch, varied, fresh and really lacked nothing.The only point of criticism: When cleaning the ship, the cleaning agents were discharged directly into the sea, and they were not environmentally friendly products. To be honest, that hurt me, because the beautiful sea is the basis for this work and should be specially protected.

very nice discovery of the Red Sea
Very nice discovery of the Red Sea. Boat, very comfortable, quality food and staff always taking care. The only thing missing was a more reliable internet connection when we went out to sea. There were sometimes a little too many of us in the diving groups.
