Highlights
Grand Discovery is a 45-meter liveaboard (launched December 2025) offering accommodation for up to 36 guests across 24 cabins. This includes 18 air-conditioned twin cabins with en-suite bathrooms, as well as 4 elegant master suites on the high deck—2 of which are equipped with a minibar.
The Grand Discovery features a salon divided into a lounge with plush sofas and a fully stocked bar, and a separate dining space where guests enjoy buffet-style meals. The cuisine onboard blends international and regional flavors, served in a friendly, social setting ideal for divers unwinding after an adventure-filled day. Additional relaxation areas include two shaded sundecks—one with a bar—and a skydeck with a Jacuzzi offering sweeping views. A large TV, music system, and a small library provide entertainment between dives.
Itineraries aboard the Grand Discovery explore Egypt’s iconic dive regions: Northern Wrecks, Ras Mohamed, Tiran, Brothers, Daedalus, Elphinstone, Zabargad, and St. John’s. These trips feature legendary sites like the SS Thistlegorm, Giannis D, SS Carnatic, and the reef-draped walls of Daedalus and Big Brother, home to sharks, gorgonians, and historic wrecks. Whether you're drawn to coral gardens, WWII wrecks, or thrilling drift dives with hammerheads, this vessel delivers unforgettable Red Sea dive experiences across northern and southern routes.

Amazing!
An amazing experience from start to finish. Life on board was spectacular, both for the dive sites and for the organization, crew and atmosphere on board. We were able to enjoy some of the most impressive seabed I have ever seen, with unforgettable dives. The crew was always aware of everything and made us feel very comfortable throughout the week. Very good atmosphere among all the divers and an experience that I would repeat without hesitation. 🤿💙A week that has gone by too quickly and that I will remember for a long time!

Would definitely come back to dive in Egypt and with this live aboard
This was my first big live-aboard, and I loved every second of it. The guides were so friendly, funny and most importantly safe. Our briefings were straight forward and the dive sites were beautiful. I really loved the ship wrecks

Top diving experience
Spent a fantastic week on the BDE route with Grand Discovery. Encountered both several hammerheads and Oceanic whitetip. The crew and dive guides were highly professional. The briefings were detailed and safety-oriented. The dive deck was greats with plenty of space and a great layout. Food, cabins, and onboard facilities (like the upper deck jacuzzi) were excellent. Will definitely choose Discovery Divers again!

All around a great experience
Our July 2026 trip aboard the Grand Discovery was fantastic. The vessel itself was very clean, comfortable, and well-designed with plenty of areas to relax. Onboard, we appreciated the filtered water stations, periodic Wi-Fi, yummy meals, and an incredibly friendly, hardworking crew. As a diver with 25 logged dives coming in, this trip offered a fun, rewarding challenge. Almost every dive required a negative entry, several were executed off the zodiac, and we encountered some strong currents. However, the dive masters were exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and safety-focused, ensuring everyone was thoroughly briefed and confident in handling the conditions. The marine life was incredible—we logged sightings of oceanic whitetips, hammerheads, and spotted eagle rays, all set against breathtakingly vibrant reefs. I highly recommend the Grand Discovery!

New boat with good food and crew
We had an enjoyable time on the liveaboard despite not seeing many sharks whilst diving. It could be off season. The food was amazing. My son took his advanced open water course and Khaleed took care of him so very well. The boat is new and comfortable. We loved the trip.

Beautiful surroundings, fabulous boat
The crew on board are so fantastic! Genuinely kind, funny, helpful, fun. From the cooks and mechanics to the team that helped me get fins on 3x day. The food is great, my cabin was fabulous with an amazing window. I do think this should be a minimum 30 dives trip, not 10. And heads up they don’t provide shampoo or anything so bring all your own toiletries!

An all-round successful liveaboard trip on the Brother–Daedalus–Elphinstone route with a top boat, excellent crew, great team and spectacular dive sites.
The liveaboard trip in Egypt on the classic Brother–Daedalus–Elphinstone route was an all-round successful experience. As soon as we entered the boat, it was clear that everything was right here – spacious cabins, clean common areas and a relaxed atmosphere made the week on board very pleasant. The crew convinced with professionalism and cordiality at the same time. Every move was perfect, and at the same time you were always looked after in a friendly manner – whether at the briefing, during the set-up or at meals. There was also a very good atmosphere among the divers, characterized by mutual respect and the common enthusiasm for spectacular dives. The spots themselves were the absolute highlight: The Brothers impressed with steep walls, colorful corals and plenty of big fish. Daedalus offered fantastic visibility and shark encounters, while Elphinstone provided adrenaline with its legendary drop-offs and drift dives. Each dive had its own character and was memorable. Conclusion: A well-organized tour with a perfect combination of comfort, team spirit and first-class dive sites – highly recommended for those who want to experience the Red Sea at its best.

An incredible experience. Would highly recommend Grand Discovery!
The entire liveaboard experience was phenomenal. From the arrival to the airport waiting for pickup until the check-out after the liveaboard, everything was arranged to perfection. The crew was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the tour and were able to answer any questions and went above and beyond to accommodate any request. The route was perfect for the time of year as it wasn't quite the season for larger wildlife yet, for which all the wrecks (highlight: Thistlegorm!) made up for plenty. The rental gear was in top shape and looked well-maintained. The boat was brand new and very comfortable. The cabin was super nice as well. The food was incredible too: varied, fresh, and delicious throughout the week, compliments to the chefs on board!

A great diving trip on a very comfortable boat
Our BDE tour took place in January 2026. Since the Grand Discovery was not launched until December 2025, this was one of the first safaris of the Grand Discover. The brand new boat is very spacious. It holds a maximum of 36 guests in 18 cabins, we were only 15 divers. So plenty of space for everyone. But because of the size, you probably have enough space when it's fully occupied. The dive deck and dive platform offer plenty of space, a charging station and fresh water tanks are of course available, as well as hot showers on the platform. The crew helps with dressing and undressing, you don't even have to unscrew the first step from the bottle yourself, that is also done. The cabins are reasonably sized. It is pleasant that the shower and toilet are separated from each other by a shower curtain. The air conditioning can be regulated in each cabin and can also be switched off completely. The cabins were cleaned daily and were always clean and well maintained. The kitchen crew conjured up a varied and excellent meal on the table. We were lucky with the weather, for January it was reasonably warm and not too windy. On the reefs, we were always the only liveaboard boat (!). At the Brothers we made a total of six dives and were 'greeted' by at least one Longimanus at the entrance. The two guides Peter and Mohamed also do a really good job. In a quite detailed briefing at the beginning of the trip, the various processes on the boat and in the water are explained. During the briefings for each dive, various plans are discussed, according to which the diving group then follows in case of possibly changing conditions. The two Zodiacs have ladders for boarding, which are used with the equipment (BDC with bottle). Divers who find the equipment too heavy to exit via the ladder will have their equipment removed in the water and brought onto the Zodiac so that the diver can use the ladder comfortably. All in all, an excellent trip, even if a few small things are still missing on the boat, such as sliding seating, beanbags or the like on the sun decks.I will definitely put the Grand Discovery on my 'wish list' for another safari.
