Turks and Caicos: Great Food, Not So Great Dive Experience
I was very excited upon boarding. The boat was very nice and it was clear that the crew took safety seriously, which is a must for me. Everyone was warmly greeted and given a full tour of their cabins, the entire boat, and all the safety equipment. Overall the diving was just okay. The boat ran a 1:16 dive guide to diver ratio. The dives were mostly easy wall dives. Few things were pointed out underwater, even when I was close to the guide. A lot of the coral was bleached and changing dive sites consisted of moving 35 meters to the next mooring ball…which meant more of the same. I found the dive guides to be somewhat bothered by requests for help while on the boat/dive platform. On this boat the guides double as hands on deck when prepping for a dive. I asked only on a very few occasions and the response from them was lukewarm at best, and they were borderline rude at times. The morale did not seem great and it was sorely lacking in customer service for diving. Overall it seemed that there was a lack of leadership or expectations set by the boat/captain for the dive crew. The captain did made daily appearances but he made rude remarks at times. Maybe they were all tired and working too many days in a row?? I’m not sure but this was my worst experience to date in terms of diving on a live aboard. The upside: The cabins were very clean, comfortable and spacious (for a boat)! The chef was fantastic and food was absolutely top notch. Additionally, there was a new purser who was on his first voyage and he was excellent (Luis). He really helped make the trip more fun and enjoyable with his upbeat attitude, friendly demeanor, and kindness. This was my 5th liveaboard and, sadly, I would not recommend it.

Terrific crew on the T&CE II dive boat
Turks and Caicos offers excellent wall diving with frequent reef shark appearances. The crew about the boat is friendly, knowledgeable and concerned with safety. The meals were excellent; served buffet-style except breakfast which was individually plated. The dive area was spacious and had a camera table at the back. Bring an extension cord because the outlets are underneath! The lower cabins were a bit tight but not usually so and there were multiple exits in case of emergency. We had some difficulty figuring out what the water temperature would be so I'm passing on that it is generally 79 degrees if you are visiting in April.

Excellent crew and diving
Fully equipped diving ship with experienced captain and crew. Fun crew can host any level of diver. Safety is the top priority with this company so no need to worry about weather and water current risks. They'll combine diving experience, weather/current risks and build a plan for the week to maximize sights and safety for the guests. Food is always a risk on a liveaboard, but their Chef Austin and the crew do an excellent job accounting for allergies, variety and quality of the meals. We were never hungry and very satisfied with the food. Great salads, meats and carbs to offset energy spent during the day with amazing hot snack-time dishes in between. Diving highlights were snorkeling with wild dolphins near West Caicos and the night dive on French Cay where Nurse Sharks are naturally feeding at night around their breeding ground. Amazingly large and calm barracuda on DD and GS dive sites as well. One note about the boat, it's stabilizers on the keel cause the boat to swing in a arc'd figure 8(think of a C-curved figure-8) centered around the mooring point. The crew draws this out for you ahead of time but it will surprise you how much the boat moves. Be patient and calm when doing safety stops and the divemasters on the dive are nearly always tracking the boat if you can't see it.

Wonderful captain and crew; DM Molly is an excellent educator/leader; the sea is filled with creatures.
Dive instrucdtor/DM Molly is a wonderful guide, pointing out all kinds of sea creatures. The corals are all looking sad, decayed, weather-worn, tired and lifeless. But there is still a thriving ecosystem filled with sharks, schools of jacks and blue tangs, sightings of three (3) spotted eagle rays, sharks on nearly every dive, lots of lobsters, and a multitude of tiny, minute creatures. On our first night dive, a school of seven + nurse sharks, including a huge giant one actively, swam below us 12 inches from the bottom, following us everywhere. Quite a unique experience!

Wonderful staff made for an amazing week
We enjoyed a comfortable week of diving and saw a wide array of sea life expertly guided by friendly staff. The food was stellar, the dive sites featured sharks, rays, eels, and turtles. Rooms were cleaned daily, excellent Captain Bob navigated us to a diverse array of sites, and the guides (Mollie and Tristen) were entertaining and informative.
