The 25-meter (82-feet) Wellenreng is a wooden Phinisi liveaboard offering an intimate diving experience for up to 6 guests (up to 9 with children) across just 3 spacious cabins. Accommodations include a large master cabin with a king bed and 2 queen-bed cabins, each featuring an additional single bed, individually controlled air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, bathrobes, toiletries, safes, desks, and reading lights. Built in the renowned boatbuilding village of Tanah Beru, Sulawesi, the Wellenreng combines traditional ironwood craftsmanship with a teakwood interior.
Guests can unwind on the shaded panoramic observation deck with cushioned seating and beanbags, soak up the sun on the sundeck loungers, or gather in the indoor salon for dining and downtime. A shaded outdoor dining area creates the perfect backdrop for al fresco meals. The cuisine fuses Indonesian flavors with European refinement, complemented by fresh tropical breakfasts, espresso, curated wines, cocktails, and all-day snacks. Recreational facilities include kayaks, a stand-up paddleboard, snorkeling gear, a small onboard library with fish and bird ID books, and optional Starlink connectivity.
Fully equipped for diving with Nitrox included, the Wellenreng offers up to 3–4 dives per day, including night dives, supported by a 7-meter fiberglass dinghy, experienced local dive guides, and comprehensive safety equipment. Guests can kayak through mangroves, snorkel vibrant reefs, visit traditional villages, relax on deserted beaches, enjoy birdwatching, swim in secluded bays, and take in unforgettable sunset cruises.

Diving in paradise in a very relaxed atmosphere
In March 2025, four of us went on a 13-day trip to Raja Ampat / Misool on the Wellenreng. "Raja Ampat" means "four kings" – and that's exactly how we felt on the Wellenreng. Rosa (the boat operator) and the entire crew made our stay unforgettable! Diving in this part of the world is unique. Being able to enjoy it in such a relaxed atmosphere was a huge privilege. The whole layout of the boat itself is super chilled, the food was consistently excellent, and we were able to explore the individual dive sites under expert guidance. We didn't have to do anything except enjoy our time to the fullest. The extremely friendly crew literally took care of everything. What more could you want? We'd love to get back on the Wellenreng in a heartbeat and embark on the next adventure with the crew! An unforgettable experience that we will always remember.

Beautiful diving in a magnificent underwater landscape in the middle of nowhere
We were already on the Wellenreng (Komodo) in 2015 and were able to build on our positive experiences.Raja Ampat is now quite overcrowded as a diving destination, but the management of the waves has succeeded organizationally and due to agreements that we mostly had the dive sites to ourselves. Super nice and helpful crew, delicious Indonesian food, relaxed diving. Special requests were fulfilled. There was variety in the diving operation through short hikes, visits to local villages, kayaking, etc.

- Private and familiar, great service. Dive spots mostly far away from the hustle and bustle. Delicious food with lots of fresh fish, salad and rumours.
